How bizarre to wrap a 2021 black Spyder in green.
That LG coloured stitching contrasts quite well though.
Dark green is currently a very 'on trend' colour, especially in the influencer community, so I expect to see more and more of these dark green colour variants appear as the year progresses. Lots of PTS 992 GT3's arriving in dark greens, and also some other 'limited' models. IMO it's going to be the Nardo Grey of the 20's.That LG coloured stitching contrasts quite well though.
On the spyder in question, I personally think the LG stitching clashes badly with the dark green.

On my 718 GT4 (MY21) with Sports Chrono I cant get my iPhone to connect to the car's WiFi (ultimately to use the Track Precision App).
Should my phone connect to WiFi in a car that doesn't have the additional Porsche monthly data subscription? Or do you have to pay the £19 a month before the phone will connect and the Track Precision App work? Thanks
Put a Voda sim card into the port, pay as you go .Or you can use your phones wifi to connect.Should my phone connect to WiFi in a car that doesn't have the additional Porsche monthly data subscription? Had a trip booked to Below Zero Ice Driving and in my infinite wisdom I decided to run the New Spyder in by driving it there and back. Northern Sweden in a Spyder in winter what could possibly go wrong?
I managed to get hold of a set of Michelin winter tyres in the standard sizes which I fitted in place of the Pilot4S that it came with. I threw a shovel and a tow rope in the boot, fitted the front towing eye and set off. With the grand total of 300KMs on the clock
Arrived 3 days later with if fully run in. It chucked it down with rain through Holland, Germany, Denmark and South Sweden, then snowed for the last bit of the journey. The only crisis was a puncture that we got when we were 20KMs away from the hotel in Sweden, It was a bit of an oh st moment to be fair, however the tyre sealant gel worked perfectly, which got us over the finish line. The tyre was easily repaired by a local tyre shop thank god! It was -12C when this picture was taken!
Car looked a bit out of place in a Ski resort
It took us 20 mins to dig it out of the snow one morning, the winter tyres not quite up to the task of 8 inches of fluffy snow in the car park. But apart from that they were brilliant, good feedback of the grip available and very progressive break away.

Perfect drive home, rained nearly all the way again! Car fully run in now: Not bad for a 3 week old car!

So far spent about 6 hours cleaning it with a lot more to do. The salt and grit gets literally everywhere. It was absolutely filthy when I got back home. I have had the wheels off and it up on the ramp for a jetwash underneath as well.
The car was brilliant. The 18way seats are just the best, I did not have a single ache or pain after 6 days with over 10 hours driving every day, the ability to make very small adjustments in so many areas is why they are so good, I found that the odd tweak here and there as I was driving just ironed out any risk of discomfort. The PDK box seems to have improved again over my last one no doubt the software has steadily been refined. The wind noise from this Spyder is way better than my last one, maybe the hood fit or tension has been improved? The usual Porsche gripes, terrible windscreen washer jets that froze up at -2C despite copious amounts of fluid deicer The wet weather braking of the PCCB's which still scares the st out of you when you have to jump on them on the motorway and nothing happens at all until they have wiped the water off. This one feels worse than my last few cars in this respect but It may just be that I had forgotten how bad it can feel.
Despite that I have well and truly bonded with this car. I just love it. I fully intend to rack some serious mileage up on this one.

Lovely. My 997.2 went rusty as anything underneath so I’m incredibly precious about my Spyder. Wish I had your courage! Sadly mine is under a cover in the dry until the salt is off the roads.
