Nice to see five 'RSs together ... positively common ! smile
Like busses. hehe

You wait years for Porsche to launch an RS version of the GT4 and five turn up at once.

Wasn’t on track, as it wasn’t run in. Belongs to SpookRS on here.

Thanks, that looks great!

There were pretty much the same number of regular GT4s as GT4RSs!

Was good to see so many GT4 RS and I am looking forward to seeing more used in anger on track very soon.

Well not anger. - don't drive angry kids - but you know what I mean.

Indeed. Hopefully there will be more allocations for those that want one coming through too, assuming the regular GT4 and Spyder are stopped this summer to free up production space for the GT4RS and Spyder RS.

Was lucky enough to get taken round in one of the GT4RS. Impressive as expected, quite noisy/booming in the helmet, never missed a beat and got the impression you could thrash it all day long without it getting flustered. Proper machine, but still love my 981 GT4

I'm looking forward to a passenger ride in one on track sometime in May.

Such a shame there isn't a manual gearbox option for them. As a one car owner I just can't give up a manual 'box with the end of ICE Caymans nearing.

I think if the rumours are to be believed, then the 718R will be just that. Getting hold of one if they do make it, well, that's a different matter...

Interesting announcement from Porsche today.

The announcement was about electrification, but the comments around 718 were promising.

718 will have a full electric version available from 2025. But this mill run alongside ICE 718 for the medium term, until 718 goes solely electric.

So it sounds like ICE 718 still has a few years of life left in it!

Interesting how are the AEB requirements for Europe being side stepped? I understood this to be platform limitation with the current car.

I think that might just be the F4Ts that will continue after this summer i.e. Base and S models. The GTS may well go along with the GT4 and Spyder.

Remaining F6s will be the hard to get hold of RS models.

The more expensive cars can certainly sustain the penalty tax for their emissions ... though I'm not sure if this is brand averaged ?

Just a follow up on this: https://www.motor1.com/news/657059/porsche-signifi...

"Lutz Meschke also said the 718 electric replacements due around 2025 will also be up to 15 percent more expensive. The zero-emission Boxster and Cayman will replace the ICE models from day one."

So it seems we only have a couple of years left....

Maybe just the translation then? Definitely says in this clip that they will run alongside for the medium term.

It's odd isn't it? The article I posted talks about the Macan ICE and EV alongside each other, I guess one of them has got the translation wrong!

EDIT: actually, Googling around, it seems the Motor1 article is wrong. ICE will sit alongside EV as you rightly point out.

I guess the question is, which ICEs will be available......
