He's wearing both the 6 point harness and the seatbelt at the same time! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGOeDE3m0lo

lol, indeed hahah, like wearing 2 condoms or 2 fauci masks ;-) Looks like I've been driving my car wrong!
the passenger also... ah, its because of the warn sound no seat belt does not stop... not smart.
otherwise fun car, especially when you have a piece of road for yourself.

It's easy to run the inertia reel behind the drivers seat to plug in and avoid the bonging ... or there are various suppliers of plug in buckles ??
guess so, but no idea how the airbags work, do they need a thing to plug in? or do they also work with only the 5 points? most modern cars have some specific electronics around that I believe, no idea how that works in a GT4 RS though :-) GTRene said:

The pressure sensor under the seat pad tells the airbag if someone or thing is in the seat and needs to be restrained. All the belt sensor will do affect the amount and time of deployment. Remember Porsche sell a lot of cars in US so have to consider how to contain unrestrained occupants. The harness is going to keep the occupant more restrained than the three point belt. There are no electronics in the harness for the bags/car to know if it’s in use. Clipping something into the belt socket will at least make bags deploy on the basis of a restrained occupant.
I’d be amazed if the bag logic and size is any different between a base Cayster or a RS.

In my 718 GT4, if I use the harnesses on track without the seatbelts, it "bongs" for a while before stopping and no longer making the noise. I think the seatbelt warning on the dash stays illuminated as well instead of flashing if I remember correctly (could be wrong though, it's been awhile since I've used them!)the passenger also... ah, its because of the warn sound no seat belt does not stop... not smart.

Not sure if this is the same in other Porsche models as don't have much experience
Well finally picked mine up tonight at 6.00PM after a lot of serious waiting
I’ve got the first trackday two weeks tomorrow so I need to pull my finger out and get it run in, geo set and change the pads.
First 150 miles done tonight.which basically involved driving from one end of the Island :
To the other:
Twice.
Bloody hell these things are raw. They are about as far removed from a GT4 as a GT4 is from a Dacia Sandero.
It’s an ADHD animal, even in the slowest quietest mode it just wants to bite the postman. I am amazed that we can buy cars this raw in 2023. I am not sure what to make of it yet. After 150 miles my ears are ringing! Flat chat it will need earplugs. The gearing is proper low, I’ve tried to change into 8th gear about 10 times already. The gearshift and the blips are mega quick, I am not sure it has a flywheel at all!
Off to bed, get another couple of hundred miles on it tomorrow.

I love the hyperbole :-DSo after 150miles you’ve redlined it constantly and done 186mph ;-)
After a while on track you don’t notice the noise, but I do think ear plugs are a good shout if you’re on track
