now that they have appeared to remove the limited allocation from this product means more new cars will become available increasing production numbers further.
have they though? after the 'limited availability' was removed from the configurator i called a couple of OPCs in the area but they both said they have limited slots and they're already allocated.JasonSteel said:

They're still limited by production capacity.
shouldn't they just keep the 'limited availability' comment there then? the car is either available or it's not.i can walk into any OPC and order a non GT Cayman. if i can't do the same with a GT4 or Spyder then by definition availability is limited.
It would of also been the same if you want to order the following
911 gts
911 targa
911 turbo
Macan gts
Etc..
Porsche control supply to their dealer network on many cars not just GT cars, it’s just not shouted about.
From my understanding Porsche allocate certain build numbers for all their cars.

No offence to anyone waiting for their 718 GT4 but why on earth anyone would buy that JZM car when for less than £10k more you can have a 991.2 GT3 from JZM is beyond me !

Yes it’s not got PCCB’s and it’s PDK but bloody hell the engine alone is worth the difference!
GT4 at list price is a fantastic car but at a £15k premium I just don’t think it’s worth that money with GT3’s where they are.
That is a very very very good point!!!https://www.jzmporsche.com/used-vehicle-details/Po...

Unless of course its a Cayman that you really want!

I don’t actually think it’s a no brainer to opt for a 991 GT3 instead of a GT4 as prices become closer.......I’ve got a GT4 plus a 991.1 GT3RS - and when I’m out driving the GT4 I certainly don’t miss or wish I was in the RS. The GT4 is a grade A sports car with arguably nicer handling than many performance cars twice the cost.
I agree with comments above regarding spec though- when on the configurator for a new GT4 why let residual value alter your preferences? If you like music but don’t tick for a Bose ‘cause you won’t get the money back on resale ....... you are just being a donut imho

I was offered a delivery miles, well spec’d Spyder direct from the OPC for list + £10k. Not much in it and I suspect they will be list fairly shortly.
Sigh. I’d be tempted by a Spyder at close to list I think....might see if it’s possible to pay for a half day in the PEC car.

Shocking if the OPC is in on it. Doesn’t surprise me.https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en_GB/911-GT3-RS-124...
