Which is why you need to find somewhere on the fixed price servicing plan...
which is no better imo.

I got better prices pre fixed price as I asked for discounts etc, now they say it's fixed price, yep fixed at a HIGH price !!!

Still over priced for what it is, but approx. £350 of the £975 fixed price is for spark plugs and brake fluid change on the second service - Normally around £600ish for the basic service. Tyres have by far been the biggest maintenance cost for me with the GT4 over the last 4 years.

Having seen how much it costs to service a lambo annually, I'm actually beginning to think servicing a Porsche every two years at the above prices is quite reasonable eek

Well that's clearly not the case

The Porsche fixed prices are far lower than you can get from an OPC that doesn't take part in the scheme

Agreed, generally Porsche fixed price 2 year servicing compared to other marks is reasonable. I had mine serviced under the fixed price service scheme. Still felt ripped off though, but knew it wasn't a keep so kept the Porsche stamps.

However when Porsche say its £1195 fixed price to service a 2.0 Macan, it really takes the biscuit.

The basic service i had done on my 458 at Dick Lovett Swindon was £582+VAT..Its just a basic service including oil and filter changes..Of course i could get it done cheaper elsewhere but since its got a full Ferrari main dealer service history the premium is worth it just to keep the Ferrari SH updated..It'll more than pay for itself when/if i decide to sell it.
Same will apply to Porsches i suspect..The labour on the Ferrari was £350+VAT alone which is probably similar to Porsches..I was fully prepared to pay more being its a Ferrari and all that.!

well it is the case as I got big discounts before, now I get the "fixed price" line.

Thats still £200 cheaper than some people are paying for a non fixed price Porsche service, some people paid £909 or 975 for the oil and filter service!

I serviced my Ferrari at specialists, and if I brought another that was 8 years old and onwards I would continue to do so, from what i saw it didn't really affect Ferrari pricing too much at all and more people were happy to buy with servicing from a specialist. I guess helps if the car is older.

I had a major done at an OPC for £900 where my usual one wanted £1100+ (per the fixed menu, no movement).

Cheaper OPC messed up in many areas. Cheap isn't always best and not all OPCs are good. This one was shocking!

Going to RPM from now on. I trust them.

I travelled 3hrs to another OPC. They looked after our other car (half price of our local dealers). Not quite as good but had lots of other work done. Tyres, disks and pads front and MOT. Biggest bill I've ever faced. But still cheaper than local dealer.
