Paints are supplied by a company based in China. Given all the issues and supply chain shortages, I would assume that it's just a knock on effect.
Chances are once your build comes up to its freeze point, your SA will be notified of any issues and/or options you'll need to reconsider. Stop order means they are not available. Delay means they can be ordered but a delay may be incurred.
Once we start to reach the end of life for the 718 ICE, there will most probably be special editions released, the Style editions being the start, whereby they put on options that are left over from the parts bin. I would expect these to be in MY24 at some stage, maybe being released towards the end of 2023. Just my opinion of course.
Unfortunately the way it seems to be going, there may not be that many nice to have options left in the parts bins for these end of run special editions. All the nice bits will be held for the Spyder RS or whatever it's called.Chances are once your build comes up to its freeze point, your SA will be notified of any issues and/or options you'll need to reconsider. Out of interest, have either of you received your Porsche Driving Experience day for you current purchases?
Yes.Yesterday was for the current purchase. Received the code/invite about 2 months after the initial order/deposit and before an allocation was confirmed.
I had difficulty contacting the PEC at the end of last year, but got through on the phone about a month ago and booked it.

Putting a deposit down on Wednesday for a GTS 4.0. Going Carmine Red, manual, platinum wheels, Bose, comfort access etc... What are peoples views on the GTS interior, as far as I can see it’s £3.5k for some carbon bits and coloured bits. What are people’s thoughts on leaving it off?
18 month wait…best hunker down
I went full leather (bordeuax / black) interior and haven't looked back once. I have GT Silver paint though so it was more of a classic option for me. I'm not a fan of race tex anyways. It's ok on the headliner, but I'd rather have leather. 18 month wait…best hunker down
For resale I don't think it really matters. I've not paid too much attention but the one option I do see that makes a reasonable difference to resale value is PDK.

Haven't received mine from my 2 deposits placed in 2022 or in relation to the car I have purchased and collect in a weeks time!

Not sure if I will get one - I will ask. I didn't order from new. I just emailed several OPC's looking for a new or nearly new GTS and then a new one with a decent spec. appeared in Bournemouth so I said I would have it!I would guess that his seating issue is down to 18-way vs 2-way.
I'm 6'2" and don't really fit in the car comfortably with the 18-way, they are significantly higher (20mm iirc) and you lose rear travel too.
Definitely has a few of his key stats wrong (weights and accel), but an interesting watch nonetheless.
