I've gone with just "718" at the back - I wanted something but "718 Boxster GTS" feels too long.
I agree that 718 Boxster GTS is too long, but I didn't like the idea of 718 either, because the 4-cyl 718 heritage is not in my view applicable to a 6-cyl car.

Maybe just "GTS", and let the Porsche anoraks work out what it is from the pipes?
Get 718 Cayster GTS on the back. If you don’t like it OPC will swap it for “GTS”. 718 would look like a boggo 4pot. OPC didn’t charge me to swap it but I requested before the order and they agreed to it. Takes 20mins apparently and is only cost of a new badge

My latest spec -
No I don’t want Bose
Unsure if I want dual climate
Could be tempted by GTS interior / LEDs but have to stop somewhere...

OPC has arranged for me to have their demo for the afternoon on Sunday then will need to make my mind up.

I really think that the -10mm is a mistake. There is no problem that I have encountered in running the -20mm suspension, the ride is extraordinarily good for a sports car, it certainly doesn’t need to be made more comfortable and I had no grounding issues in 4000 miles.

James, I think your spec is superb. I was very tempted by the Python Green but in the end I went for Carrara White. It will look sensational in the green.

Like you, I deleted the Alcantara interior, which I dislike intensely. Here is my spec.

Seeing your "fabric roof' option has made me realise I made a mistake in not doing so. I thought removing items in Race Tex would get rid of it but I fear I will have some. Too late now.

I ordered at the end of August, and heard today the car has been made a month early and will arrive at the dealership tomorrow! So I will get next week. I gather they have wanted to push through UK destination cars to be sure they would arrive ahead of the 31 Dec uncertainty, but also surely a sign of capacity. Whatever the reason, I am just elated to be getting this incredible car so soon.

Have I selected the correct options, plastic dash aside?

thanks for this - i just have misunderstood the bloody thing... I want the lower tide but selected the option as assumed that meant i would select it.

Do O just deselect and leave as standard?

Yes, -20mm is standard, so deselect it. I made the same mistake, and I have no idea what most of the interior options and packages even mean.

I would have been caught out by the headlight options. Worth reading the standard spec.

This video is fairly helpful:

The LED PDLS+ lights are awesome and worth the money.

Although I’ve provisionally spec’d these on mine, what actually makes them so awesome?

I’m not really getting it and thinking of taking off

On my Panamera GTS they are other worldly but I've not bothered my 4.0 GTS B

I’m also mulling the point of these. Not entirely sure O actually like the look tbh.
I don’t like the standard lights though so will probably go the half way house on the black pdls +

Hoping someone can give fairly specific answer to the quandary that is interior (sure it’s been touched upon many times) but i’m still not 100% sure.

Don’t personally like the standard dash.

Currently specd @ £1242
Leather Interior with Race-Tex / Race-Tex or Leather Seats

Sat in a couple of cars at OPCs now and they’ve had the full GTS interior:

To get this it’s £1242 + an additional £2096

In short, other than:
1 contrast stitching
2 carbon trim
3 coloured dual

What, if anything else do you get for your £2096?!

Sorry to labour the point but I can’t justify / afford all the options (and am not fussed on any of the 3 above) so looking to see what to prioritise.

Stitching, seatbelts, the rev counter dial and the “GTS” logo on the headrests can be chosen in the contrast colours of Crayon or Carmine Red**. The package also includes floor mats with Black edges, with the stitching and the “PORSCHE” logo in a contrasting colour. The dashboard, door panel and centre console trims are all in carbon.

  • you can option these up further for other colour seat belt options.

With PDLS you get four-point LED daytime running lights, automatic and dynamic range control (i.e. lights will vary from wide short focus to longer narrow focus depending on road speed), dynamic cornering lights (i.e. lamps move with steering inputs), and headlight cleaning system. The lenses are smoked (not sure if they are on standard car, OPC couldn't confirm either but judging by photos not the case) and internal parts in Black.

With PDLS+ you get the same with following changes: wider four-point LED daytime running lights, LED lamp inlace of bi-xenon which is supposed to be better for brightness and colour, plus auto dimming / main beam.

I had the equivalent of standard lights on my 5 series and my previous car had equivalent of PDLS+, pardon the pun, but its night and day. If you do a lot of night driving I would option the PDLS or PDLS+. I had PDLS spec'd but when I saw the PDLS+ in real life I changed my spec because they look so much better on the car. the daytime lights make it look wider and lower. Personal preference though.

For me the key point is that there is no way to spec headlight washers with the standard headlights so if you intend to use the car for any sort of touring you pretty much have to upgrade. You get the washers with either upgrade so I didn’t bother with the LEDs.

Thanks Richard, your car not only looks great, but it also actually exists, which is a big plus. Alcantara is the work of the devil, it always looks like several moles have been wrestling across its surface, and on steering wheels it goes disgustingly manky, for want of a better description.

I've backslid a bit and added Lane Change Assist, never tried it, but it looks useful, and (completely frivolous) yellow seatbelts to go with my (totally poncy) aluminium pedals. Still a whisker under £69k. I can dream.

Thanks so much. I just collected from Porsche Centre Tonbridge; Carrara White metallic, silver wheels for those debating...

That's a fantastic combination with the sliver wheels! Give it a hint of Cayman R!
