Looks like the OPC are reading this thread as they've either changed the wheels or had them painted black. I agree Silver or Platinum would have looked much better.
Others have commented on how odd the spec of this car is, but even weirder is that heated seats come as standard - and yet this car doesn't seem to have them. I would love to know the history of this. Who ordered it and why? My Cararra White / Silver wheels GTS 4.0 looks understated in comparison.

The earlier cars didn’t have heated seats as standard My Cararra White / Silver wheels GTS 4.0 looks understated in comparison.
Well, we lasted two weeks without a Cayman GTS!
My 2.5T went back and my girlfriend asked about the 4.0, to change from her 991.2 C2S
Guildford had a dealer spec Black/Black/Black, with all black painted model designation too!
It was an unregistered car.
She didn’t want it SO black, so I raised the question of Satin Gold wheels.
They had a customer that wanted black wheels for their silver order, so a a swap ensued.
I made sure this car stayed on its PS4S tyres, as I know how much better they are than the PZ4.
On that basis a deal was done and she’s very happy
As am I

The replacement for my 981 GTS. Everything an absolute step up (apart from exhaust note and sports exhaust closing from 2-4k rpm).
Steering, handling, torque etc etc amazing. A happy owner.
A couple of pics.
Beauty!, I have one on order coming to me in Vancouver BC. I have had a real time finding any photos with this spec, so if you have more please post. Steering, handling, torque etc etc amazing. A happy owner.

Stunning, that looks spot-on. Congratulations and what's the initial impressions on the 4.0?My 2.5T went back and my girlfriend asked about the 4.0, to change from her 991.2 C2S

It’s really rather good. GF commented how much easier it is to drive, as even pulling away is more predictable, as loads of torque from tick-over, Sounds great (below 4K ish as running in)
It feels really quick to Rev and respond. I like the small induction bark, when you blip the throttle a little.
The clutch is a little different in feel, but feels lovely.
The suspension is a huge difference. Both PASM modes are perfectly usable on the road. Both are still extremely comfortable too.
The 2.5T PASM could only be used in soft. The firm setting really made the car feel like a pogo-stick.
Really violent upward momentum on bumps. Felt like dampers were locked out!
I can’t wait to drive it more, but for now, we’ll just be fitting grills and other bits.
There might be a essential trip to Waitrose later though
I guess it’s going to take a while to get this one run in!

Yep running in could be protracted. I have had mine 7 months and I have only managed 1400 miles. Fingers crossed for some summer touring of Cornwall and the Lake District Sounds great (below 4K ish as running in)

The low down torque makes huge difference. Vs the 2.0 and GT4 there is a lot more grunt. So much so that it kicks its arse out on cold tyres and little revs!
Theses are really not holding there value . Over supply seems another dealer spec Car . Cheap if you like yellow. The world is a different place at the moment .people are more nervous now with job stabilty etc . Toys are not a priority . Some of these orders were last year when things didnt look as bad?

I personally only see used Porsche prices increasing throughout the past year.
You could pick up a 2018+ Macan GTS for £52k+ a year ago, good luck finding one now.
You could pick up a Boxster 981S for £32k+ a year ago, good luck finding one now.
Boxster 981 now costs same money and even more than 981S used to be.
Boxster 981 GTS's were at £45-50k level, now it's mostly £50k+ and they are rare too.
Petrol Panamera's were cheap, good luck finding a cheap one now

Agree, I think given the circumstances the moment the world re opens things will improve quite quickly. You could pick up a 2018+ Macan GTS for £52k+ a year ago, good luck finding one now.

These cars are standard production but looking at the difficulty some are having getting build slots and impending model changes, mostly likely to electrification, I can only see these doing well. I wouldn't say my Boxster is a piggy bank but once oddly specced dealer cars and cancelled orders find homes there will be few around...
I'm trying to locate how many on How Many Cars, but seems to be only referring to the 2.5 version and numbering around 100 of each type for 2020. HMC.com shows just 290 examples of the GT4 of which 211 were registered in 2020. Has anyone found stats for how many produced of the GTS 4.0 variants?

Its the lack of stock thats keeping used prices up . With new car sales down 28% in 2020 that equals less used stock .You could pick up a 2018+ Macan GTS for £52k+ a year ago, good luck finding one now.

It doesn't mean they are selling more?

Any thoughts on whether to order the -20 or -10 (or +10mm as Porsche calls it) suspension? No interest in track work...
I myself wondered but went with the standard -20 and it is absolutely fine. I ordered my car in August and got it in October. I similarly took advice on here (not to change it) and I am glad I took that advice - so I pass it on! Porsche know what they are doing on that one. (Unlike BOSE which is a total scandal. So unsolicited advice: save your £800+ and with the change get dimming mirrors, a heated steering wheel and reversing camera. I also got lane warning which is worth every penny.)Richard718 said:

With the setting it on it sounds fairly awful, muddy and inconsistent.
