Discussion
Some potential owners will be genuinely interested to know more about this forthcoming new model.
To my mind it suggests the manufacturer recognises there's room a "the 6-cylinder, NA sports car" between 4-pot entry 718s and the lower end of 911 range. I suspect the majority of customers are looking for an excellent road car and it's unlikely Porsche will try to sell them a track car with concrete suspension and aggressive geometry.

Neither of them know what they are talking about, as usual.
I always find not knowing much is ok, as long as you know a little more than the next man :-)At this stage none of us knows very much about the new 4.0 GTS.
It’s getting depressing! We Almost need a Porsche thread to talk about residuals and to question people’s purchasing choices! And keep all the dick swinging and bickering in there!!
I just want to talk with people who want to buy the car and are getting there excited about it, and not have it polluted by people who don’t or think it’s crap or think I’m a poor scumbag as I’ll be a “PCP Guy”

Well said! As well as "what colour and what options should I buy/not buy to keep the next owner happy?"I just want to talk with people who want to buy the car and are getting there excited about it, and not have it polluted by people who don’t or think it’s crap or think I’m a poor scumbag as I’ll be a “PCP Guy”

What are peoples thoughts on Aventurine green and gold wheels?
I could go for Aventurine green and built one up a few days ago - i struggled to find a matching interior other than black. Espresso sort of works but could be tough on resale. It's a pity the island green from the 992 is not available. I'd be tempted to go for the crayon / blue Sportex on a dolomite or GT silver.

The guy how just paid 13k less than list should confirm this, must have options are worth no where near there list price cost when the car is second hand. Look on the pcp/ lease sites and some of them provide the residual value of options at end of pcp term . It’s an eye opener.

Seems when I did this last time, I just copied Jimbo's code in! Clicked on it and thought, I didn't spec Python!
Here is mine, would be a sub 70k if I can get away without the Burmeister, but I do love my music! Would need to go and listen to one, I think the Bose is a bit of a wishy washy upgrade!

I plan to have it for 3 years and hand it back with 30,000 miles on it, and then seek the options if I love it still!

And in the spirit of getting the thread back on track, what do we all think of this spec?

It will replace a 981 GT4, which itself replaced a Caterham R500, so that should give an idea of what I like. I'm missing the open air and wasn't chosen for a Spyder, which is why I've ordered a 4.0 GTS Boxster. I won't be tracking it but will put on many miles in the UK and Europe.
After hours on the configurator I'm still tweaking on an almost daily basis!

I tweaked it to my liking :-) keeping the GT silver option, cheaper also. as every one says buying new, = buy what you want, that's why you pay for a new car.http://www.porsche-code.com/PLYHASF6

PLGPS480
might give you ideas though on my spec in that colour as you were asking ;-)
Porsche’s paint policy is very odd and I current range on Spyder/GT4 seems very restricted. I was told by an OPC sales exec that he had a customer wanting Gentian Blue on a Macan. Before agreeing to it Porsche said they had to run tests to see how the paint would perform on a Macan - whatever that means. The cost was going to be over £6k !
Here is my spec http://www.porsche-code.com/PL6XCHM0
At present I've gone with the sportex seat option as I've heard good things about it but would value any views of people who have had it or tried it longer term?

Quite an expensive option at c£1250 although Black imo looks a bit drab.At present I've gone with the sportex seat option as I've heard good things about it but would value any views of people who have had it or tried it longer term?
But Sportex is a nice alternative had it on the 911T but with red detailing which looked great (red car red stitching) and is cool in summer and warm in winter. This is black
