Folks
Does anybody notice much of a difference in the suspension when selecting either Sport or Sport +. In my previous 981 GTS it noticeably firmed things up (and even more so in my old 997 C2S before that) but in the 4.0 I really can't tell any difference other than the throttle map.
I have raised this with the OPC previously and apparently a setting wasn't enabled (or something) as part of the setup upon delivery and it was permanently set to sport, which they fixed - so I wonder if this has happened again or if its just too subtle anyway for me to notice.

Yes, when I switch from Sport to Sport+ the little suspension light on the centre console comes on. It definitely firms up the ride, a bit too much sometimes. I generally leave the car in Sport when in automatic (I have PDK), but when I want to go manual I select Sport+ and then turn the suspension light off manually. I find that the engine map for manual paddle changes in Sport+ to be much smoother than Sport which can be a bit jerky sometimes.
I should probably just make an Individual mode map really.

Hopefully I will soon be finalising the spec of my CGTS. Still can’t decide on colour, Carmine remains the favourite. Hope it doesn’t age.
What options can you currently not get? I see Bose is removed from configurator. Anything else?
Carbon Ceramic brakes not currently available. Which is a shame What options can you currently not get? I see Bose is removed from configurator. Anything else?

Love the car and the spec. A spec not far different from my own that I need to lock in by end of February if not sooner. Looking at GT silver. Will share my spec once i sort out one or two options.
Are you sure you want to mix satin black and high-gloss black? And I'd suggest ditching the poverty-spec seats for something decent (18-ways?) and saving dosh by canning the LED headlights. After all, you'll spend longer sitting in the seats than looking at a lit road at night.Athboy501 said:
Ordered mine in June, had a call before Christmas to say it’ll be built on Feb 4th, and I therefore had to lock in my spec yesterday. Car should be delivered end of first week in March. Pretty Excited.

I’m not sure I see an argument for spending £2k on seats that are identical to actually sit in but adjust electrically the few times you do so (and add weight in the process) vs an excellent lighting system that will make the car safer and more enjoyable to use at night. That said, I’d scrap both and add the GTS interior package in Crayon instead… it really lifts the interior.

Even if you are never going to move the seats, the 14 and 18 ways are so much more adjustable and you can find a perfect driving position (well I could anyway). Absolutely worth it IMO.

The electric adjustment also comes with memory, handy if you are sharing the car.

I have the standard Sport Seats Plus in mine and at first I found it challenging to find a comfortable position using the relatively limited manual/electric adjustments. I soon did get it in the sweet spot though, and as I’m the only person who drives the car it hasn’t moved since, so ultimately I’m glad I saved on the cost (and I assume extra weight and possibly height?). I did however spec the PDLS+ and use them every day at this time of year. I’m not sure if the standard PDLS provide the same brightness or functions, but I can wholeheartedly say that the PDLS+ are excellent and make my commute on unlit rural B roads a lot easier. The brightness and beam adjustments really do make it a more enjoyable drive.
Everyone’s experience and needs will differ but for me I’m glad I specced these two items as I did.

I ticked the 18 way adjustable seats as I'll be sharing the car. I didn't opt for the GTS interior (!) but I totally appreciate that my spec is more daily driver and others will want a track escapee sort of vibe.
I'm sure I'll change my mind by build time....
I didn’t opt for the GTS interior package either. It felt like a gouge too far, even by Porsche’s standards, to charge £3k+ for a “GTS package” on a brand new GTS!I'm sure I'll change my mind by build time....
In the end I went for “Race-Tex interior with extensive items in leather” which seemed more reasonable for £1200. As far as I can tell it’s essentially the GTS package without the contrast stitching and carbon bits (this may not be entirely accurate!) but it elevates the interior from standard and replaces the plastic dash with leather which I was keen to do.
Good luck with the option changes in the run up to the lock date, my sales guy got very used to my regular emails and changes of heart!
I collected my GB CGTS just over a week ago.
Make sure you spec the smoking pack, I specced the GTS pack - stitching in red, standard sports plus seats and also specced the heated steering wheel, but in Carbon (same price as the alcantara - I don’t like furry steering wheels). I specced the platinum wheels, and against the blue they look just right. My car also came with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres fitted. I changed the spec quite a few times.

I'm in a similar position re seats. Can I just check that the seats are the same apart from electrical adjustment? Even lumbar support? That said, I’d scrap both and add the GTS interior package in Crayon instead… it really lifts the interior.
Cheers

Couldn't agree more. I went two tone leather with some other leather bits, door trim and brushed aluminium Interior package in black. In the end I went for “Race-Tex interior with extensive items in leather” which seemed more reasonable for £1200. I'm sure it will be divisive! but with an Agate Grey car I think it will look quite smart.

I like it more than the black interior I'd spek'd with my sliver car. Works well with bespoke floor matts tooI'm sure it will be divisive! but with an Agate Grey car I think it will look quite smart.
