I am absolutely thrilled with full Espresso natural leather which I was told by OPC is a very unusual choice. A very dark brown, almost black. Also the leather is a real step up in quality, texture and smell from the standard
Hi. I'm very interested in this interior colour too. I don't suppose you can post a pic please?rossfitz said:

It’s been agreed with the current Mrs S that we need to have a brighter colour, so i’ll be changing my order to Python Green. Does anyone have any views on interior choices?
I won’t be going GTS pack currently, and i can’t bring myself to go with the two-tone interior and i’m thinking either black, agate grey or espresso full leather. I’ve selected the lizard green stitch and seat belts currently as well, just to liven it up.
Black is obviously safe, agate grey seems to be brown in some pictures. First-world problems obviously, and spec lock not until August so plenty of time yet.
I have Agate Grey in my Macan and it has a definite brown tint which I don’t think would look good with Python Green. Espresso would be an interesting choice and a change from black. I had similar in a BMW a few years ago - albeit with a black dash and it worked quite well. Not sure about green stitching with it though. If you are sold on green stitching, then I would go for black. I’d agree here. If your sold on the green stitching I can’t see any other colour than black working. But each to there own. Haribo Lecter said:
What’s availability like for the GTS 4.0? As far as I’m aware it’s not a limited run, so in theory you can walk in or call to place an order. Is that right?
Give it a go and see what your local OPC say (but would put money on it not quite being that simple - unless you are willing to wait 18/24 months, which makes it dead close to release date of the electric variant)... keep us posted.julian987R said:

Did another 150+ miles today in mine, having fun.
These really are epic cars.
You have to make every mile count as every hundred miles equates to -£200 in depreciation, or thereabouts. These really are epic cars.

Perhaps my point came across wrong, for which I apologise. Just thats the reality right....so enjoy every mile.
Enjoy every mile is a great sentiment. But also worth considering, depreciation depends very much on how long you keep them as well as how many miles you do. I've traded in one Porsche 718 Cayman "cheap" after racking up the miles pretty quickly by my standards (owned for 17 months, 17,000 miles, lost about £13k in depreciation). So could have been 76p per mile, could have been £765/month, but actually some combination of the two. I'm not too bothered really. Most other new cars of similar value would have cost a lot more, and fortunately I was able to afford it.
The 981 GT4 I have kept since the trade-in has probably depreciated by a similar amount, albeit over a much longer period but lower mileage. Could be £2.04 per mile, could be £29 per month. One seems big, one seems small, the reality is that I like the car so will continue to enjoy it. I doubt using it a bit more would have changed the latter very figure much, but could have dramatically reduced the former. All academic really, as I'll most likely keep it for a long while yet.
Since then I bought another new 718 Cayman identical to the first one. Planning to keep this one for a good while too, so the only real threat in depreciation is how good the GTS 4.0 looks as a daily drive. I will do my best to exercise restraint!

Anyway, am hoping not to do too badly with mine. Will almost certainly sell it when my GT3 comes in September. If 4.0 Boxsters still have an 18 month lead time I'm hoping there'll be a fair bit of demand for mine.
Anyway, we have the summer before then so will enjoy it as much as I can. Off to PCGB meet in east end of London today. Only just joined PCGB so not sure what to expect.

I get where you're coming from, Julian - but try not to think about it. It's like calculating the total cost per ski run skied. Never an enjoyable number.

Also, my amortisation on a Porsche is much longer than my depreciation… unless you are flipping cars.Anyway, am hoping not to do too badly with mine.
