I feel your pain @JurassicGTS, but I also now feel slightly less guilty for ordering a GTS 4.0 when I'd only had my 2.0 718 Cayman for 10 months from new. Looks like it might get to over 2 years old before I replace it.
The other pain of the wait is not knowing what might be available in terms of spec when we finally get to lock anything down. The lack of Carrara white troubles me a little. I know it's a bit boring, but my last 3 Porsches have been Carrara white; the idea of being any more adventurous and choosing a different colour fills me with quiet horror! Might have to go PTS Peridot with a black rear wing to help kill the urge to own a 987 Cayman R...

Fortunately I am picking up a cancelled car 3rd April, with everything I specced on my original configuration less ACC but plus 18 ways. It's just not in Shark Blue, but seeing a couple of Arctic Greys the colour is certainly growing on me and may well have been colour choice 2 anyway. Keeping my original orders in and make a decision closer to either lock down or end of production as to what I do. My lock date iS the end of the month, but my build has been with My OPC for the last 4 weeks. But this week I was told i could not have speed limit display. So it seems Porsche use allocated orders booked to forward plan builds and are fully transparent on what is or is not available on a ljve basis.
Speed limit display has been off the table for about 6 months now. Thanks scrounger. Back to the configurator to see if it affects now.
Yeo that’s me hit and the car completely thrown in the air as my favourite colour around which it’s all based is affected.
As it’ll be my last ever new car I’m reluctant to take second best.
What is the other forum the schedule came from?

If that was the Carmine Red one at Norwich OPC (with both GTS interior packages) I managed to buy it on Monday and picked it up yesterday. Really ace car that was pretty fully loaded and I've always had a soft spot for Carmine. I got it a smidge under asking but it had a price reduction a few weeks back anyhow so I was happy with what I paid.
The Crayon one at RPM looks ace but has double the miles of the one I bought, similar spec and a shorter warranty (Norwich extended it for me to Dec26).
Yes that was the car. Good to see it went to someone on here. Bother will be kicking himself he missed out on it. I'm sure he will blame me for it ! The RPM one needs a big price correction imo compared to your car!
I notice that my back-up choice at JZM https://jzmporsche.com/cars/porsche-718-p0445/ has also been snapped up.

Well that really is very disappointing. Colour (Carrara White) and interior package (GTS with Crayon stitching) that I want look unavailable if I do get allocation this year, as does any chance of leather dashboard, etc.Probably not a deal-breaker, and thanks for sharing. I'll be waiting and hoping availability might improve closer to the time.

The interior leather/race-tex options are all listed as Delay rather than Stop so they can be ordered. Also not clear if the GTS Interior Pack is part of that list anyway. Some people have indicated it is protected as an option and is available.
Does Order Stop prevent you from speccing it, I'd assumed it just prevented the dealer from submitting it when it comes to spec lock?

J210 - if you’re still looking I like the look of this one at Baytree.

I have a new one arriving at the end of this month in the same colour but with a slightly enhanced specification. Not long to wait now https://www.baytreecars.com/vehicle-details/used-p...

Maybe because in a few months a part (or all) of the 718 production is moved to Osnabrück.
Week 17 apparently is when production switches over. That would be about a month away. VW are in press releases about describing the use of Osnabrück as phase out production. I do wonder if the paint unavailability is down to what colours/processes the Osnabrück paint shop has been qualified for currently. Hence no PTS or complex Porsche exclusive metalics.
Paints are supplied by a company based in China. Given all the issues and supply chain shortages, I would assume that it's just a knock on effect.
Chances are once your build comes up to its freeze point, your SA will be notified of any issues and/or options you'll need to reconsider. Stop order means they are not available. Delay means they can be ordered but a delay may be incurred.
Once we start to reach the end of life for the 718 ICE, there will most probably be special editions released, the Style editions being the start, whereby they put on options that are left over from the parts bin. I would expect these to be in MY24 at some stage, maybe being released towards the end of 2023. Just my opinion of course.
