I'm loving the upgraded configurator, but having played around a bit I couldn't see PTS anywhere.
I'm finding it slightly positive that Aventurine Green is so popular as a choice, I have it on mine and it is a fabulous shade. However as it has been pulled from all Porsche cars is there anything untoward to be concerned about? Sort of like the MIami Blue thing a few years ago when it was puled because of potential fading?
It appears that PTS is no longer available on the 718, along with PCCBs, contrast stitching other than with GTS pack, etc. I'm finding it slightly positive that Aventurine Green is so popular as a choice, I have it on mine and it is a fabulous shade. Looking really good, carbon. I bet the ceramic will make it pop.
Anyone had an allocation this month?
To answer my own question - Yes me!!Anyone had an allocation this month?
At last got an allocation for June production. Very happy.
If my allocation comes with current choices available... I was torn between Carrara White and Aventurine Green, and now I think I'll be torn between Gentian Blue and plain White. I don't think I have ever ordered any new vehicle in any colour other than white, with the obvious exception of KTM enduro bikes, where orange is the only colour available.

Yay! Have they got any colours you like?

I'm really struggling after the colour cull and loss of aventurine. I can't believe there is no green. I've tried other colours and down to guards red with red stitching GTS interior or a dark colour like black/genitian with a light interior and white stitching. But none of them are really floating my boat anymore. And the outrageously hideous new steering wheel is giving me nightmares. I'm hanging on just in case they add more colours or open up PTS again. If not then I think I will be asking for my deposit back. I am liking the new configurator though. If my allocation comes with current choices available... I don’t think there’s anything new about the steering wheel, it just that the multifunction heated wheel is now standard, although the configurator doesn’t show it. Which is a shame because I prefer the plain wheel and using the stalk rather than the buttons on the wheel for the MFD. if you have a Race-Tex wheel then you don’t even need the steering wheel to be heated.
The no-cost carbon wheel option is however truly horrific! I guess they have a stock of the monstrosities that they want to get rid of.
I agree that it’s a shame that all the colours available are so dull, (except Shark Blue)
I was going for gt silver anyway so the changes don’t affect me. Also going for the red hood and full red leather interior. Not everyone’s choice I know but I’ve kept coming back to it for the last year and first fell in love with the combo on an rs60 boxster I saw on display in Las Vegas when they came out.
Going for the standard wheels in silver and brushed aluminium trim.
My last gts was crayon with lots of black trim and the red stitch gts interior which was lovely - maybe an option for those looking for a new colour to go with the gts interior and black wheels.

I had the same thought re the steering wheel, plus a few other bits and pieces which I could no longer spec. It was only when I reviewed the "standard" spec that I realised that a number of things are now included, this includes the Alcantara multi-function wheel, so you don't need to have the monstrosity that is the carbon option. Porsche did not do a very good job of detailing all the changes.Add me to the list of people who have cancelled their Boxster 4.0 order.
I've been unemployed for a while now (no real worries, I've got a pension) and the mortgage is paid for, but TBH i doubt if I would be buying one even if i had a job.
First reason is that I have no wish to pay this f**kwit government approximately £20k in tax (VAT, first years road tax and an extra £400 a year for 5 years, comes close to that ).
Secondly I was still nearly a year away from getting the car (ordered March 22) and the price of the car I specced has gone from just over £70k (plus all the road tax/delivery.etc) to £82k plus the rest, so getting on for a 20% increase (and it will probably go up another few thousand before delivery.
I can run my 997 for a helluva long time on that amount of cash, so i think i will.

If any one wants a new car this looks a bit of a bargain compared to the MY24 prices. Hope it helps someone?

If anyone is looking for a ‘good as new’ GTS in Aventurine green then I’ve just sold mine back to Porsche Cardiff.
Took delivery just before Christmas, did about 400 miles and then injured my back quite badly so not able to drive it for the foreseeable future and it was too much money to have tied up just sitting in the garage.
Might help someone.
