Yes, that really is stunning cowboy. In fact I'd go so far as to say that is the nicest Boxster I've seen. I hope you enjoy every mile for a long time.

Good work on the mileage, and well done on not following the hivemind when it comes to spec. It looks great clap

Mine (Cayman GTS) is hopefully on the boat tomorrow. Keen to get it and get some miles covered as a trip to the Isle of Man in early May really needs all the available performance.
Is this the PCGB IoM trip you are doing in May?
If so we are also on it.
Definitely got to get some miles on mine, which I collect on Monday, but it won't be fully run in by the trip.

Are you active in PCGB?

I had specced this on my orders, I think it's one of the best value options and really adds something to the interior. Sadly it's the one thing my cancelled order is missing. I wonder if it can be purchased as an add on? If not a trimmers may be able to match the leather I suppose.

That's lovely, I wanted to get PTS, but unfortunately it wasn't available - at least it saved me about £5k!

Same colour as mine, I have the gloss black pack, door handles and calipers though.
What lights do you have?
Mine are LEDs and I had expected the washers to be black as that is the standard, but on my build photos they look chrome.

You can get the leather steering column pieces new for an absolute fortune, find them used for a few hundred (I think same part for 991 and 981/2), or get the plastic pieces trimmed. DesignLS will do it, but i assume any decent trimmer will be able to.

Mine is black leather but with black stitch which was an oversight by me, so i’m getting mine redone at some stage.

I thought about gloss black bits - probably regret it at some point in the future - but the options were adding up! Mine are LED too, the washers are black.

No, visiting friends. Was looking forward to having the opportunity to use all the revs on those wonderful roads without worrying about getting pinched cop

Hoping that my car was on the ship that arrived today, I'll find out next week.

Build was completed on March 12th iirc. PDLS (LED) and shows black headlight washer jets.

Strange as mine are definitely chrome. Maybe as mine has the gloss black pack they come with chrome rather than the matt black!

Is anyone else cancelling after the price increases?

Taken my cayman 4.0 GTS order (Deposit paid not locked in for build) from 81k to 86k ....

I am struggling to justify this spend on a cayman ...14k more for a 991 gt3 for example & can spend less with change left over on a normal 991 s.

Not a great feeling given it would have been my first NEW Porsche.

I suspect you won’t be the only one to cancel. Having thought about it I’ve trimmed my spec so I’m paying a bit more for less.

However you cut it the car ends up costing a lot more and that will no doubt hit many people with the increase in monthly payments from the price and interest rates since deposits were placed.

First sign may be the next batch of allocations. Anyone know when in the month they get issued as I understand there is a batch due in April?

Wow that’s a fair chunk.

I cancelled because of the wait time, got a 981 GTS instead. It would be about half price now. Ok, not new, but here and now.

Granted that is a lot of money but I think you also have to bear in mind that cars like this will be no more soon and this will be your last chance

I'm waiting to see if they change the colours again or offer PTS. My spec has gone from £78k to £83k BUT I have also lost my colour, Aventurine Green. It has become PTS so a £7k option. So this means my spec has gone from £78k to £90k. A frankly ludicrous jump of over 15%. If I can't get a colour I want I may have to bail out as what's the point spending £90k on a car with a colour i don't like?

For me the 4.0 GTS was the absolute last chance to buy a new NA, manual 2 seater sports car. There is only the Boxster or MX5, that's all that's left and I want a car to keep forever that I have chosen the spec of myself. I am now beginning to think its a bit pointless buying a car that I can't even choose the colour of.

Also, not that I intend to sell as its a 'forever car' but what will happen to used prices? As soon as you buy one with the increase will it depreciate to align with older GTS's for sale or are existing owners of 2 year old GTS's going to get lucky and get a bonus increase in used value? I suspect the former which for me means £12k straight into the bin. I think Porsche should have waited till the model had run out but I suspect they may have increased the prices to reduce demand and hasten the demise of the petrol Boxster by default.

I cancelled mine last week. Not due to be delivered (well I’m still awaiting an allocation) until end of 2023 early 2024. Aventurine green is gone (which I wanted) and car now up from £76k (once you include £2k plus car tax - not in configurator price) to circa £82k - and I suspect there will be another increase too. So sadly had to cancel what would have been my first Porkie.

Oh well… first world problem I guess…

Used prices already appear to have been aligned towards post-price rise RRP.

There are very few GTS 4.0 models in either the dealer network (5 PDK, 11 Manual) or privately. Of those around a third have specs I find offputting for a GTS (standard dash trim, no Dual zone a/c, basic Bi-Xenon lights), and MY23 cars are at or over list.
