I would want no more than 2 owners
I wouldn’t let the owners worry you… mine has 5 owner 3 of which were in the first 4 months of ownership (the first didn’t even collect it from OPC when new, these cars were flipped hard!)

I viewed a Silver one a really wanted - 2 owner car, PPI showed it wasn’t for me, the one I bought passed with flying colours!

Great cars, drove mine for the first time this year last weekend. Loved It!

As others have said trading back a GT4 to an OPC they don't blink an eye if they've had multiple owners, majority of GT cars seem to have had several in the first 5yrs.

Looks a nice car and spec.

I bought a very similar GT4 from Redline 6 months ago today. Great to deal with, Steve was an absolute gent and couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s my second GT4, both of which have had 4/5 owners. It’s a fact that they get moved around very quickly. First thing I did was to put PS4S tyres on it, as I’m not a fan of the Cup 2s.

Looking at your user name, you’ll enjoy the change from Aston. The GT4 is a fabulous car that’s just about perfect for UK roads. Grab it while you can.

Mine is on cup2 tyres, seem ok in dry but not tried it in the damp or wet as yet.

I’ve had mine around a month, also on Cup 2. I was wary of them but very good in the dry. I’ve not taken it out in the rain yet but not expecting it to be as secure in those conditions as my Cayman S was on GY F1’s. I’ll probably got 4S’s when it’s time to change.

Same here but with 5.5mm tread depth it seems a shame to throw them out just yet without trying them carefully at least.

Indeed, I won’t be binning the Cup 2’s off anytime soon, plenty of life in them. It’s my weeken, spring/summer time car so it won’t be heavily used. At some point we’ll be away on a weekend trip, rain will come and then I’ll see what’s what.

What's your thoughts on the PS4S? I have them on my daily BMW and really rate them, but do you miss much dry grip compared to the Cup 2s? Expect they are miles better in the damp and wet though

I have two sets of wheels and PS4Ss and Cup2s for my 718 GT4.

PS4Ss are slightly softer/less direct feeling, warm up quicker and are superb on the road in all weathers. On hot days they do get warm though and the pressures shoot up.

Cup2s feel more direct and ultimately have more grip in the dry. They're fine in light rain/dampness but do not clear water as well as the PS4S, as you might expect, nor do they like low single figure temperatures. They don't heat up as quickly, or as much, but because of this they are much better suited to track use.

Both are excellent and excel in different applications.

No worries smile

I use the PS4Ss as winter tyres, and I'll be swapping back to Cup2s over Easter ready for my first track day of the year. I then tend to leave them on until mid- to late- Autumn.

Running Cup2s between say October and March isn't very wise IMHO. They don't like cold and/or very wet.

Another spurt of GT4's popped up for sale by look of it with prices firm at circa 75k or so. Quite a few very very low mileage cars being released. Flippers letting go before they lose much more of their "investment" perhaps ?

How do you possibly flip a 981 GT4?

The people who paid over the odds when they were new. Some of the cars coming out appear to have storage mileage on them rather than having been used.

They wouldn't be flippers then, they'd be investors wink

Potential poor investment then from the heady days of £100k pricing ?

If looking to buy one of these low/delivery mileage 981 at this stage… I’d be wanting a full inspection, full up to date PSH, …. I’d expect that all bushes and suspension arms etc are in as new condition and everything pretty much corrosion free.

Only a few initially flipped 981 GT4s sold around £100k 7 years back in 2015.
