Having a look. Appears to be lots of low milage two owner cars appear for sale.

I love the Gentian Blue Metallic one at JZM but I swear its been for sale there before.

Is the price dropping or just correcting slightly from all the people who put a few k on them during shortages

So according to some prices are rising and good cars are over list on a 718 GT4 ?

Yes it is. With 10miles on the clock the first owner clearly hasn't driven it.

No if you scroll down it gives you a link to the configurator spec. Lots of unnecessary extras though which boots up the price!
List is £99878 plus otr costs of £2100

And so?
Not really needed for driving down to the shops or sitting in a garage, most cars will never see a track!

All a bit odd. If it’s only got 10 miles on it, the first owner hasn’t even collected it.

Maybe the new higher finance rates and depreciation has put them off, if so they have lost money without even collecting it.

Alternatively it could be another unallocated car and been pre registered.

No need for apologies will all make mistakes, anyway I think the price looks high because of all the unnecessary extras which makes it appear as over list!

I saw that it was heavily loaded, and it was a fair bit more expensive than my car, so assumed it was over list. I hadn't realised the base price has gone up £5k+ since launch, and the price of some options up a little bit too...

Yup, there were at least 3 significant price rises between the tail end of 2021 and mid through Q1 of 2022. Before then I think there were the usual small annual price rises in 2020 and the start of 2021.

I ordered in Aug 21 and picked up Jul 22, in that time the total cost of my car OTR went up by £5200. Luckily I was protected to my original order price as it didn’t cross MY builds (the only time price rises impact a confirmed order).

Personally I think that even with the price rises, the GT4 still represents amazing VFM, if you can get the spec you want.

Same.

Mine is a 2020 car that would have cost the first owner just over £95k when new. I honestly have no idea how Porsche managed to get it out at that price point - they're either making little to bugger-all profit on this model, or other manufacturers are taking the piss with the price of their comparable offerings.

Take a look at the price of a base spec cayman, they’ll be making plenty of profit on that. The GT4 will be the most profitable car in the range.

I was always lead to believe Porsche made more profit per car than any other manufacturer-
They used to make 20% profit on every car sold

Like the CaymanR/987 Spyder before Gt4s these cars have always represented fantastic value if purchased new.
I have ordered a new 911T at circa £105k but something like say Cayman 4.0Gts similar spec is £30k cheaper which probably cost the same to build!
Twinfan I subscribe to the less is more when adding on extras and something like a Gt4 only needs buckets adding for the driving experience! So in essence you could say that particular Gt4 is at overs because most of the extras added will not give you any more value come resale.

Tbh I doubt that very much bearing in mind the 718 GT4s GT3 chassis and ancilliaries etc and almost 'bespoke' engine which was developed solely just for the GT4 although the basics are clearly shared with the 'low' numbers 4.0 GTS.

Be interesting to know for sure.

Cayman’s and Boxsters I would say are the least profitable sports cars for Porsche with a Gt4 at the lower end of the profit scale. The big profits in the 911 especially something like a Turbo

To add they still most likely make a profit on a Gt4 but not as much per unit as say a base 911
