I am assuming you got your GT4 sold ?
How are you enjoying the 991 Gts?
Also I note prices off all but 2 (both Cat N or Cat S cars) are still above £60K despite what Porsche911R had said . Still makes me chuckle he thought they would be in the low - mid £50K range.
But he has been quiet for a while

GT4 was the first mid engined Porsche with a 911 engine (I'm sure?)
Landmark moment and why the market went nuts for a while. The R looks like a toy next to one (a fun toy though)
Not quite - the 981S has the base 991.1 3.4 engine, and the GT4 had the 991.1S 3.8Landmark moment and why the market went nuts for a while. The R looks like a toy next to one (a fun toy though)

Interesting about the 981S and 991.1 engine connection. Same block but with a 25hp power boost. I'd never clocked that they'd reduced the base 911 from 3.6 down to 3.4.

What I was getting at is it had the larger 3.8 capacity 911 engine for the first time.

Ah I get you. The bore reductions are all in the name of emissions, I suspect. Output wise, it’s a 20bhp drop from the 991.1 to 981S (and a further 10bhp down for the Boxter), and the 981GTS claws back 15 of them by virtue of a remap. The 981GT4 is 10bhp down on the 991.1 S, weirdly.

Possibly more product positioning than emissions?Twinfan said:

Possibly more product positioning than emissions?Absolutely, it’s all product positioning when deciding on the outputs.
Those 2 Cat status cars on AT look ridiculously overpriced compared to the other cars at low to mid 60s.
If someone doesn't mind the mileage this looks a very good deal if you don't want carbon seats?

This might be base spec but its a lot of car for the money

I agree that yellow one at £63K looks real good value for a nice road spec car and good to see these are are holding their value well compared to some cars
Absolutely - it’s such ridiculously cheap motoring when you consider that there is a line out of the door to buy 25th Anniversary GTS which Porsche actuaries have given a GFV after 3 years of 35k on a a 77k car. I’d assume a worst case scenario for that GT4 being worth 48k after 3 years, and even then I’d be surprised. That’s 400 a month, versus 1100+, and a much more special car to boot. It’s amazing value when you consider the whole picture.
