That light green one I posted above will be a 1978 car or thereabouts and they were doing it then.
i get that but they seem to come and go in relatively short bursts of desirability and when not in favour i would think they'd be hard to shift?

maybe it's me but they all look at bit 'thick gold necklace' to me... but then those seem to be making a comback lately too smile

I's not very expensive to have wheels repainted.

Thanks again and some great looking gold wheels. The gold C4S wheels are the set I have but as mentioned these will be refurbed.

I don't have any pictures of the lobster claws but again it's a perfect set of ones in silver.
These would be gloss black with the aforementioned silver band around the edge of the rim.
Opinions good or bad appreciated.
I'd leave the lobster claws in silver, and indeed did, just had mine refurbed in the factory finish.

That looks superb I think. Gold on black just looks right. Often considered it on my Aston but not been brave enough. Looking to add a C6 Corvette soon and if that turns out to be a black one I will probably go for it.

I'd advise against black and silver wheels, My brothers 981 came with black and silver wheels and it didn't look good, He changed them to Satin Platinum and it looks awesome, He has a Rhodium Silver car.

I think gold alloys like a bit dated these days and don’t really suit white. I would go for wiessgold or satin aurum if you want a similar colour. Gold wheels are a bit Subaru Impreza

I love the Lobster Claw alloy. Specc'd them on my brand new 987.1 Boxster. Mine were silver, but I do think they work very well black with the thick silver rim...quite retro looking. Easy wheel to keep clean too.

I think they were quite underrated as a design. They looked quite "tech" and quite Porsche.

It's the new Satin Aurum introduced on the 992 and 718 GT4.
