That's not silver, there's a hint of gold there..
Such a faint hint that it is tenuous to call them gold.
It’s very light dependent and stands out more against a really dark car like black.

I think the wheels could easily be a proper gold on the above car, as IMO they are too muted against silver... whereas your gates are somewhat ostentatious. hehe

Not true, but they can look very different in photos.

Up close and in duller light:

Clean and with a hint of sunlight:

Had gold wheels on our 997 for 4 years. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but I like ‘em.

i get that but they seem to come and go in relatively short bursts of desirability and when not in favour i would think they'd be hard to shift?

maybe it's me but they all look at bit 'thick gold necklace' to me... but then those seem to be making a comback lately too smile
My thoughts also,

I am a fan myself, I refurbed mine from diamond cut and grey to satin bronze. I quite like the darker colour, but Weissach is also nice.

The bronze looks a LOT nicer than the diamond-cut finish. smile

These turbo wheels are the same as I have and were an option on my car from new.
At one point I thought about having them black but are such near perfect condition didn't have the heart to. Theyre now for sale c/w Michelin Pilots.
