No (although I did find the lack of climate a bit annoying in my 981 GT4. Not £15k annoying mind.)

It's a no from me too.

The extra owner cancels out the fewer miles and PCCB and CS aren't worth the extra and slightly contradictory. CS is a must on track, PCCB I'd argue less so. Climate is also a nice to have but far from essential, I've had both.

As already mentioned, you're talking about the difference between trade and retail. This can vary from £6k to £15k. If you're keen to proceed, I'd be pushing to get as close to £6k as possible.

Good luck.

If you really want or need these extras- only you can decide?
The same applies with the cost, personally 15 is way too much - half that maybe…
You haven’t said if you’ve owned your current car from new? If so, my answer would definitely be no, I’d value knowing what l have from new above spending more again!

To me those changes won't make a huge amount of difference in most driving situations so £15k seems a lot of money to spend.

Saying that most of us petrolheads have spent what seems like silly amounts of money on upgrades/car changes so do whatever makes you happy!

Would you part exchange your 718 GT4 PDK with bucket seat, PDLS, interior leather and carbon package for another 718 PDK of the same year 2022 that has all the extras your have but in addition have PCCB, roll cage, and automatic climate control and has 4,490 less mileage but with one more previous owner, for £15,000.00 extra? Is this worth it all?

I must add the trade in prices for both on Motorway are almost the same
IMO, you'd have to be mad to even consider it.

Going to a spyder would be a worthwhile change. But sideways move no.

If he’s already got buckets then I wouldn’t say adding in the cage is a must for track work.

Interesting, is there a big enough difference? I'm considering changing my GT4 to Spyder (or GT3), I quite fancy a convertible so the Spyder appeals (I had a 987 Spyder a long time ago) but I'm not sure if it will be different enough to the GT4?

Depends how badly you want the carbon brakes really. Surface Transforms kit is about £13k I think, and converting to Porsche OEM version would doubtless be a whole lot more. Wouldn't be worth it to me unless I set my heart on the brakes, when it would become really quite good value for money.

There is a big difference between the 718 Spyder and the GT4. Much more so than the simple spec sheet. Typical Porsche!
There is also a big difference hood up and hood down on the Spyder. Hood up the Spyder and the GT4 can be tiresome on a long drive both are noisy, the GT4 is boomy, tyre and belt whine, some drone, the Spyder has a lot of wind noise from the ears on the hood. Hood down the Spyder is lovely, the wind noise is really good up to fast motorway cruise, the extra bulkhead behind the seats keeps the less pleasant engine noise away and you can hear the exhaust much more clearly. It’s a brilliant convertible, so snug and cosy with all the al fresco benefits. Best convertible Porsche ever in my humble opinion.

The Spyder is a softer drive, whatever the spec sheet says and I’ve had 2 of each so I have had a lot of experience. I am not sure where the difference comes from but there are a few subtle things are different, for example the Spyder TPMS does not have the track setting of the GT4, no idea why. The softer set up makes for a nicer road car on the Spyder it’s some how more accessible than the GT4. To be fair I did spec my second Spyder with PS4s which may have had a bit to do with it. My first one was on Cup2’s and I did a few trackdays in it but it was not as good on track as my GT4.

The faff with the hood and the rear trunk is a PITA with the Spyder, especially getting stuff out of the boot in the rain which involves a partial hood drop. I got over that by very rarely having the hood up, even in deepest winter it’s fine hood down.

I guess it’s how committed to the convertible lifestyle you are. Hood up these isn’t much to choose between them I suppose but hood down it’s a whole different ball game.

about the Spider with the not so fast roof when its raining hard.

how about a 718 GTS Boxster 4.0 and then give it a spyder/gt4 tune not only the engine.

then you have a good roof and a good cabrio, ok its not a Spyder, but I get you can come close?

Thats very interesting. I've a 718 Boxster and I'm disappointed top down with the wind noise and general buffeting in the cabin at speeds 50-70mph.

GT4 numbers at OPC down again to just 17
9 PDK 7 Manual
Moving into autumn that’s the lowest I’ve seen this year l, let’s see it goes through the winter
Once you choose LED’s, PCCB & ext leather then it’s literally
just 1 or 2
Even on AT with less than 5000 miles there is only a few more once you exclude the duplicates

More significantly there are only 7 OPC 718 GT4s remaining with buckets.

3 manual and 4 PDKs.

Prices have certainly risen over the last couple of months due to the dwindling numbers which is unusual heading into Autumn.

Expect a strong continuation of price rises next Spring.

biggrin You come out with some crap, talking up values again I presume your car is still up for sale!
As mentioned before dealers are not taking on stock unless trade in, wait until next year they will have a glut as some owners hand their keys back as all those 2022 PCP deals come to an end! So expect prices even softer next spring!

I don't think prices will rise but they're somewhat starting to plateau out, last Nov the CC 718GT4 with low spec sold at apprx £65k and today the cheapest is £69k with much higher mileage.

The fact is there are less cars up for sale and the 2021 pcp deals have been handed back
Nobody knows what will happen next year so no point predicting
Simple fact is there are no new cars being produced
