718 GT4 UK Allocations
Discussion
Another case of an OPC trying their luck, that would have to start with 6 to sell! Advertised price does not equal sale price!
We had the poster with the best 718 Gt4 ever for sale confirm he sold at £90k, the car was up for sale at over £100k last summer at OPC.
The price range for the 718 gt4 is £60k for the oldest, lowest spec, highest mileage going up to £90k for best spec. late production cars and everything else in between.
Over time this gap will narrow downwards to late £70s early £80s for the very best cars.
So any one looking to buy don’t pay the extortionate prices that some are asking for and don’t let the resident
tell you otherwise lol

The market will dictate the price & the sold price will be that it will be
The more relevant point is after 5 years and 17k miles the depreciation is minimal from the original purchase price
That’s the beauty of the GT4’s - Great to drive & great value for money with minimal financial hit

Absolutely that’s why the 981Gt4 is a good reference point to future values. That’s the beauty of the GT4’s - Great to drive & great value for money with minimal financial hit
Actually agree with you on the second point for first time, have a good Easter

I wouldn't say minimal as we're still potentially talking about a lot of money in absolute terms, but its not eye watering. I think mine since new has probably lost about 35k over 3 years based on what the local OPC offered as P/X against a 4RS allocation late last year, £2.70 a mile very roughly. This is for car that is actually driven rather than some of super low miles garage queens that pop up in the ads being traded between keepers every few months. The more relevant point is after 5 years and 17k miles the depreciation is minimal from the original purchase price

The future? I'd guess that deprecation will slow and value in a further two years will less but not massively less than today. Not selling so not really bothered TBH.
Performance wise yes these are probably the best value in deprecation terms as they hold on to so much of original price over time.

Nearly £100k for a new Cayman GTS will keep the very best examples of 718 GT4’s prices honest that’s for sure Actually agree with you on the second point for first time, have a good Easter
New car prices are getting horrific imo

What do people think of the gulf orange car at South London OPC? Anyone seen it in the flesh?
Built at a time when LED's were unavailable (due to the parts shortage which prompted the switch over from LED PDLS+ to LED PDLS. Apart from that, it's a lovely spec and car IMO.I did a quick exercise to see how many GT4 variants were registered and now left. Summer 2024 (latest the data goes) numbers as follows:
981 GT4 - c600 originally registered, c550 left (taxed or SORN)
718 GT4 Manual - c700 originally registered, c650 left (taxed or SORN)
718 GT4 PDK - c575 originally registered, c530 left (taxed or SORN)
981 GT4 - c600 originally registered, c550 left (taxed or SORN)
718 GT4 Manual - c700 originally registered, c650 left (taxed or SORN)
718 GT4 PDK - c575 originally registered, c530 left (taxed or SORN)

Quite a disparity between originally registered and left. Obviously the odd one written off but have the rest gone for export?981 GT4 - c600 originally registered, c550 left (taxed or SORN)

Like the mint green car it seems to be on a bit of elastic has it keeps coming up for sale disappearing only to reappear months later with usually the same OPC/GroupNice car though if you like orange, the lights are a non issue but the price is, hence it keeps popping up for sale! It couldn’t sell for £94k last summer so needs to be £90k tops to sell!

You’re mixing this up with the comfort spec Gulf Orange car, or the Pastel Orange bucket carNice car though if you like orange, the lights are a non issue but the price is, hence it keeps popping up for sale! It couldn’t sell for £94k last summer so needs to be £90k tops to sell!
This one is new to the market and is on SOR at the OPC, it’s also currently for sale an Indi dealer called Kings.

Ooh the stalker returns.
The oddity who tried to make out he was interested in buying a Spyder RS. As if.
Didn't know Porsche actually made a GT4 WP.
You need to do some bedtime reading.
Clown.
You know I meant GT4 RS WP...obviously touched a nerve with the clown emoji. The oddity who tried to make out he was interested in buying a Spyder RS. As if.

I had a very brief interest in the spider to accompany my 675 LT spider, but decided against it as the roof was too fiddly and it was an instant £25k loss.
If its about cost, last time I bothered to check, an unregistred spider RS WP was about £65k less than value of my LTS and about £7k more than the 992GTS cab i bought brand new about a year or so ago, so your barking up the wrong tree there Walt.
Anyways...when is your new GT4 RS WP arriving again?
Can I guess never....like all the other cars you used to list as 'incoming'

As for being a stalker...I have realised I am the only one that replies to your posts...

The only thing you are known for is trolling Porsche forums. And from your laughable Porsche ignorance.

This is a great thread but as usual you seem determined to ruin it just like other threads. Do us all a favour and crawl back under your stone. No one is interested in your off topic cheap and pathetic jibes.
Mods alert.

Think you might be right there on the Pastel Orange and I think I recall it only had 23 miles. But the mint green one has definitely been bouncing around!Edited by kmpowell on Sunday 20th April 19:08

Just asking a simple question....when is your GT4 RS WP supposed to be arriving?

Quick question out of curiosity for the more informed posters in here than me
Am i right in thinking the MY21 GT4 base new cost was about £76.5k plus £1990 OTR cost
Best guess this model has about £8k of additional spec
2021/2022 models prices look to have plateaued over the past 2 years within the usual +/- 5%
For sale price vs new price looks very strong for a 4 year old model imo
Price is not the discussion for me it’s the % depreciation over the longer term ownership accepting the servicing & warranty costs are what they are
Value for money across the long term ownership and the pure fun they are look good value imo
