It was built at a time (mid '22) when Buckets and LED headlights were removed from the options list due to the parts shortages.

My car (spec locked in Jan'22, built Apr/May '22) was one of the last to get both those items before they were temporarily taken off the options list. The LED's arrived back on the options list for late '22 build cars, but when they came back they were heavily revised to just PDLS. All the + elements of PDLS+ were removed due to the camera in the top of the windscreen being removed. Buckets came back as before.

Hi all,
I must admit I’ve been lurking in this thread since the beginning. I have admired the many stunning cars posted and dreamt of the day I may be able to post a picture of my own GT4. As it happens that day is today!
So, here it is...

Congratulations - not the ideal time of year to be picking it up, hopefully you'll still be able to get plenty of fun out of it 'til the weather improves beer

Dual Climate is an education piece I think for most who buy their cars new. It would be better to just call it Climate Control and leave off the Dual along with the hope the salesman actually explains the difference over AC which you get in most basic cars these days. Or better still Porsche scrap the AC option in the Boxster/Cayman and offer Dual Climate only like they do in the other models.

I've seen GT4s with so many extras up to and including the leather steering cowl yet they only have the basic AC, and despite the temptation it's a no from me. I want climate control to set a temperature and let the car do the rest.

It's bad enough when you get owners saying "I only use the AC in summer when it's hot" rolleyes

I have to agree. The 'set and forget' function is a must for me and I too would probably walk away from a car without it. It should, however, have been standard on a car that starts at £50k. My Daughters Kia Picanto has climate as standard and that's on a car costing £15k.

Lovely indeed! great combo, colour, wheels, ceramics. I was also lucky to get one recently - having sold our 992 C2S (crayon, heavy spec but we have 5 years from new and 23k). Pined for another porsche (order placed) but then 1200 mile 2023 GT4 popped up and I grabbed it.

I totally love it - I might cancel my order on a 992.2.

How are you finding yours? I plan to drive on at it through the winter (apart from if the snow/ice kicks in).

I love it too. A proper sports car.

I picked it up last Saturday with 61 miles on the clock and it's now at almost 800. I've been slowly increasing the revs during the run-in and I've not gone over 5000 RPM yet. I love the sound from 3800 to 5000 especially the up shifts. I cannot wait to hear it at redline!

Although mine has yellow calipers it has steel discs. I presume this was done aftermarket to match the yellow seatbelts and interior stitching.

One question. I purchased the car through an independent who completed the 2 year service with parts from Porsche. When I need to extend the warranty in a years time, will I need to take it to my local OPC for a 111 point check?

If the car isn't already covered by a Porsche warranty then yes.

Given you've had it serviced by the independent dealer I'm assuming the warranty has now lapsed as Porsche will ( generally) only issue a warranty if the car is serviced by themselves although this point is regularly up for debate.

The inspection costs circa £300 and given your car is such low mileage id be getting the Porsche warranty added now.

The independent warranties are not as extensive vs the Porsche one.

It’s not a requirement of the approved used warranty to have the car serviced at an OPC - however if you want to renew the warranty the last service has to be by an OPC. So they will insist the last service is redone by them unfortunately.

Incase you didn't know, the side-pods have also been wrapped/painted black, from the factory they are body coloured.

Can't you just get the car inspected prior to buying the warranty ??

No - you cannot either purchase or renew an approved used warranty without the preceding service having been carried out at an OPC, even if this means repeating work already carried out by a third party. Their product, their rules.

Yes, the side pods and rear wing have a carbon wrap. It looks quite realistic close up and it breaks up the grey so I'll leave it on. The car also has full PPF and darker than standard window tint.
