Self adhesive Velcro, have used this on my cars for years, stupidly strong and also means I can quickly remove the plates for cleaning.

Amazon Heavy Duty Velcro
Thanks for the idea.

I ended up getting some 3M Dual Lock reclosable fastener:

3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fastener SJ387B - Provides adhesion to most powder coated paints, metals, glass, sealed wood, acrylic, polycarbonate and ABS - 25 mm x 2.5 m, 6.1 mm, black (1 Blister Pack) https://amzn.eu/d/e8MpQu2

I’ve also got x6 sticky pads from Topaz as an alternative option.

Dual Lock is fantastic stuff, I use it to attach efeects pedals to my pedal board and 2 x 2cm strips allow you to pick the whole thing up, it weighs over 14 Kgs.

If you want to remove the plate then slip something like a credit card/ hotel room key etc between the two parts. Just pulling it will almost certainly pull off PPF. So position the strips where you can get access. HTH

Long shot I know but anyone aware of a Spyder allocation at any OPC

Only reason I ask is that although I have a great relationship with my OPC and get GT cars I cannot get a Spyder and yet I met someone at Porches at the park at the weekend who had one brand new....wait for it....as their first ever Porsche car

I bought a new 981Spyder back in 2016 ..had no previous new car purchases from my local OPC told no chance .... emailed every OPC in the country and got one from an OPC some 500 miles away to my own spec not a cancelled order ..so why not try them all .

Hi.
Just a quick question.
Had my GT4 now for five weeks.
Have noticed tiny bits of gravel are getting collected at the bottom of the side air intakes.
Had tried flushing out with a hose, and soft brushes, all to no avail.
Must be a common problem.
Any advice?.
Cheers.

Totally normal, I jet wash them out as best I can but some always remain. I ignore them.

You would need a very fine hoover hose to get through the mesh grills ( fitted as standard to GT 4 and Spyder) !

There are no grilles over the side intakes we're talking about wink

I had gravel between the right front spring, and damaging it;

I gave a very unpleasant sound.

That seems like a design flaw that could be solved with a sleeve around it.

Surely a sleeve would just trap more crud in there?

You can just buy aftermarket sleeves if it’s a major issue… Don’t think there is a Porsche specific.

I'm very curious to why on pretty much a daily basis over the past 2 weeks, used examples have been added to the OPC finder. At least a couple added per day I would say, standing at 59 GT4's cars in total now available.

On the plus side, with the numbers currently available, it's also now a lot clearer to see how Porsche value/price/see PDK v Manual, and certain options etc.

I do wonder if Porsche have been holding them back, but with more delays now filtering through over Q4 into Q1/2 next year are they are going to try and upsell those cars into build slots and or enquiries that they can't fulfil.

It could well just be more cars to market - it's the end of the track day season so the summer toys are being sold, plus with the uncertainty in the world right now there may be some asset offloading going on.

Fairly normal from memory, and the cars available start to seriously dry up again in March.

I believe this to be very accurate and normal for this time of year. Some of the good cars are still selling as I'm tracking these whilst I await mine being delivered next month.
