Can't you just get the car inspected prior to buying the warranty ??
No - you cannot either purchase or renew an approved used warranty without the preceding service having been carried out at an OPC, even if this means repeating work already carried out by a third party. Their product, their rules. In addition if a car is already under warranty when purchased then this can be extended.
Are they suggesting that a purchaser should now check that an OPC did the last service for the extended warranty to be extended OR if not that the £300 111 point check to extend the warranty is no longer an option ? And would any remaining extended warranty post the non OPC service therefore be honoured ?
Is the extended warranty aspect of Porsche now also breaking down ??

Yes, the side pods and rear wing have a carbon wrap. It looks quite realistic close up and it breaks up the grey so I'll leave it on. The car also has full PPF and darker than standard window tint.
Looks really well - keep as is for sure. I added a matt black bonnet stripe, with all my stitching, belts and steering wheel 12 o'clock all red - matches the calipers. The yellow is cool, plus carbon always worries me - in case something happens £££ to change.
Will get some photos up soon. Hope you driving through the winter - ice and snow permitting of course.

It wasn t so long ago that it was £50k+ to upgrade from a highly specified GT4 to a GT4RS or SRS. At that time I m sure many people struggled to justify the cost to change. It is much more tempting now.
Yep why pay £90k for a 718 Gt4/Spyder when you can buy a RS with a proper GT engine for a few quid more.IMO this is where smart money goes ( just an example but sure you can find cheaper)

I own a Sypder and was offered an SRS allocation but turned it down due to the above. Relative cost and cost to change wasn't an issue. Really wanted to like the SRS. It was sensational to drive but I couldn't get past being slightly deaf in my right ear, and the hood being a PITA even with practice
But that's just my personal pov, and experiences will vary

Because for some (not all) people the GT4 and Spyder are preferable, especially if used solely on the road and for long trips. Plenty of performance, but you're not deafened. Way easier hood on Spyder esp if only one person present. GT4 ride considerably better than 4RS on UK roads

Wasn't aware the roof on the SRS was different to the 718 Spyder so tks I own a Sypder and was offered an SRS allocation but turned it down due to the above. I am tempted by that SRS above, but agree with you - also the manual gearbox is crucial to meI own a Sypder and was offered an SRS allocation but turned it down due to the above. Having had 2 Spyder the roof on the 987 is the same as the new 718SRS these hoods are limited to a top speed think around 115? so if you are a driving in Europe/Autobahns its either roof off or keep below that speed .There is no limit on the 981 /718 roof mechanism as far as I am aware .

I did once own a 987 Spyder and I have to say I found the car an overall disappointment. Not least of all the roof. to a top speed think around 115? so if you are a driving in Europe/Autobahns its either roof off or keep below that speed .There is no limit on the 981 /718 roof mechanism as far as I am aware .
Although I had just sold a 981 GT4 so maybe that contributed to my thoughts on the 987
A friend of mine sent me a link to the Green GT4 at Redline yesterday. He’s planning on going over next week to see it. I told him to buy it unseen, but he won’t listen.
I think it’s a very nice car. I love the colour. Number of owners wouldn’t put me off, buy on condition. I have a two owner car, the first was an OPC, then me with over 50K miles on it and another two owner car that has 6k miles on it in November, it turned over to 10k miles yesterday going to the local farm shop.
They like to be driven. Other than tyres and routine maintenance mine have never needed anything.
