Silly question...anyone done the French ferry crossing to Calais or Dunkirk? Can the gt4 get on board safely with no bottoming out?

If mine is anything to go by then yours sounds about right, my CP8 (build completion) slipped from 11th March to 27th May, so a two month slippage.
Cheers.

My GTS was April, now looking like July, so 3 months for me. It happens when it happens....

If you got an allocation and go down the finance route, at what point would you have to setup the finance agreement / pay the rest of your deposit? If dealer's are now allocating based on who is taking out porsche finance, is there anything stopping you going to your own provider at the very last minute or paying it in full?

I think the point was if you go down the finance route to maintain a relationship with the dealer for the next car they may 'offer' you. If you pay it off or take your own out and don't intend buying another car from Porsche then fill your boots.

It’s more than front end but not full, I think they call it track pack. Also includes a ceramic coating on top.
Thanks Phil.

After 4 weeks mine is finally going in for full PPF today and should be back late next week. For ceramic coating I was recommended car pro cquartz over the cartec si carbon. I’ve heard both are very good products but think car pro edges the cartec.

Daft question maybe but I’m new to Porsche but looking for a GT4 and can’t find the one I want in the used market. Can you still order them? Is having PDK a must for resale as want a manual.

Thanks for your help.

You will probably struggle to get a new one now tbh depending on your buying history.

PDK not a must for resale.

What spec are you after?

I’ve never bought one before although nearly did few years back.

Manual, Crayon, CF Bucket Seats that’s about it, rest I’m not bothered about. I’m gutted as missed out on one few months back which I loved but didn’t have CF seats so hesitated. Sold next day frown Guildford have one but not with CF seats and 3k more expensive.

Biggest problem with that car is the 18 way seats and lack of extended leather with placcy dash and door tops.

Looks expensive for a comfort and fairly basic spec.

Feels like a mine field, the options list is huge so really don’t know what ‘is’ expected. Only had a handful of options on my last two current cars biggrin Think I need to spend more time on looking for what I want before diving in.

Will message some dealers to see if I can get an allocation too.

The PPF guy and detailer have been fully booked up until now. Needed paint correction before the PPF could be applied as there’s a far amount of swirl marks and a few light scratches over the paint and that’s from new.

Very similar to mine. I am collecting tomorrow. I am sure it will be worth the wait.

If it helps, last year I was looking for either a 25 or a GT4. I was a non Porsche owner. I contacted every OPC south of Newcastle and the only one that would allow me to order a GT4 was Reading.

Thank mate. Just looking forward to getting her back and being able to go out without the worry of stone chips.

It’s in very capable hands so glad I waited for the job to be done right!

You must be excited about getting yours back now. Any weekend trips planned?

It’s not so much a case of me getting it back, as not taken delivery yet! The paintwork on mine looked fine to me from factory, but wanted the car PPFd from new. The supplying OPC has taken care of everything but, due to work volumes with the PPF installers and my work commitments, it’s taken a bit longer than originally envisaged.
No specific trips planned just want to get the miles racked up quickly to get the car run in so I can enjoy it properly over the summer. Only one more sleep to go!
