I keep toying with a 981 GTS.

But i have this nagging concern that mid-50k for a 2016 car just feels…. a bit wrong.
In what pararrel world is a car market based on age alone? You better not start looking at air-cooled Porsche!

It isn’t, but it’s a factor.

And the Emira isn’t a huge leap from there…

Quite. It’s just a point on discussion really, especially as the thread is specifically about values.

For the record, I’m Porsche through and through and that is where I would naturally gravitate. However, I do think the Emira means the space is no longer theirs alone.

Anyway, my point was that the values look a bit punchy - anyone else?

Just as a point of reference, I bought a high spec 981 GTS Boxster in July 2020 and paid £39750 from Ashgoods. 25k miles, Speed Yellow, X73, carbon interior, 20” wheels etc etc..

It then sold for £48k in July this year. WBAC price was approx. £45k at that time. I think that was the high point.

Personally, I think the high prices are definitely on the downwards curve..slowly but surely.

WBAC price on that car is now down to £40k again…

Not sure the red interior stitching goes with the blue.
Silver would of been better imo.

Nice car, but with 4.0 GTS values heading towards £50k for good provenance examples via private sale, I know where my money would go.

Not necessarily. I had a 4.0 GTS now looking for a 981 GTS Boxster (needs to be bloody good though!)

That was I'm pretty sure on Autotrader first being sold Privately. I remember looking at the advert thinking how nice it was.

Nice Spec, but looks a bit rough around the edges imo, also says all panels have been re-sprayed except boot lid & spoiler.

At the end of the day at the right price I'm sure it'll be a good car for someone.
