Hi.
Just had 2 quote for the first service on my Boxster.
OPC Portsmouth £826!!!!
OPC Chester £802!!!
FFS!! Where the hell do they get their prices from!.
The quotes include brake fluid.
When I had a 981 it was a lot cheaper.
What has anyone else paid?.
Cheers.

When I had my 718 serviced last year, I got quotes from 3 dealers. Two had fixed pricing but my local OPC was the most expensive. When I told them I would be going elsewhere, they immediately price matched without asking what the other price was! I could have had a room and a meal in a nice hotel with the difference. I’m sure I paid around £600.

Some dude on here recently was quoted a ridiculous price on the 4 year by one of the Porsche owned dealerships, almost 2 grand as I recall so you haven't done too badly...

Wife just took hers in for service at 3 years (718s). The best one was "would you like the holes in the drilled discs cleared, it's only £80 per wheel". When asked what would happen if they weren't cleaned the reply was that the braking would be impaired!

'so you've sold me a car with a unsafe brake system? That sounds a bit like negligent design doesn't it?'

"umm, no, ummm..."

She's a 60 year old woman, not exactly doing track days but can recognise someone trying it on... Not blocked anyway, confidence in OPC very limited now

Going to see this a lot I think. Trying to claw back losses from cv 19. OP offer them £620 take it or leave it ?. I back traded by 981 spider (first service at Chester opc for less than £600 btw ) to 987.2 which goes nowhere near an opc to which I felt obligated with the spider for resale. Local garage does just fine thanks.

There is always a deal to be had. Phone as many dealers as you can and get the best price. Let your preferred dealer know the price and say thats what I am happy to pay if you cam do it great if not I can take it here for the same price. No business likes to lose a customer as it is very hard and costly to get them back again

or you could be like another piston head poster and say "it was a pleasure not to soil the air with a request for a discount." still makes me laugh that comment

They do seems to.pluck figures from the air though.
Big differences between Reading, Swindon and Portsmouth.
Reading are very abrubt and dont care if you take elsewhere as they are booking 2 months in advance. Unless you are "Special" and miraculously have availability and a loan car.biggrin

Hello again.
Some may find this interesting.
Had my wife's E Pace serviced on Wednesday.
First service just like the 718..Just oil and filters etc etc.
Both dealership s are owned by Rybrook
Jag service £353
Porsche £802.
Labour time roughly the same.
Makes you think?
Did some checking with independent Porsche specialists as well.
Revolution Porsche in Batley Yorkshire £360!!

Don't have a link but I think the prices are fixed. Here's what I paid last year:

111 point check - £252.00 Inc. VAT (not sure if needed?)

12 months Porsche Approved Warranty - £660.00
24 months Porsche Approved Warranty - £1,190.00

12 months Porsche Assistance - £175.00
24 months Porsche Assistance - £285.00

As above - that's what I paid in October - was booked for the 111 point check but when I arrived was told it wasn't needed - you can do it over the phone.

Thanks both . Is the breakdown assist worth it or a third party better value . I won’t be leaving the uk in the car

That what I paid last week. I declined the Porsche Assistance as I have AA cover so it made no sense to me . I believe Porsche assistance gives you a courtesy car plus trackside recovery which my regular cover may not do
