The position yours has failed is the same place as mine, does your actual exhaust valve still move? Mine is seized solid, I’ve been solitary in wd40
Be great to hear if the welding works

Both sides we’re seized but we’ve managed to free them up, thankfully.

I’ll post results with pictures in due course.

That's excellent - well done! Seems ridiculous that such an expensive (but otherwise functional) exhaust system requires full replacement because such a small component fails and can't be replaced (at least by OPC).

Hi all. Well I’m very pleased to say the fix worked and cost me under £300 including parts.

The guy made up the bracket and I purchased the rod and ball joint off eBay.

The exhaust sounds as it should.
