I'm not usually a fan of darker colours on GT cars, but IMO this looks lovely in CTS/F Slate Grey...

Some of these are great value for money ... and despite the odd engine mount failure they have been proven to be very reliable cars. I think they will be wonderful classics come the day ...

Thats so deceiving as it looks like agate, I’ve an agate 981 gt4 and would be convinced, if I’d just seen pics, without the description that this was the same.

Would like to see slate in the flesh.

I have always maintained these 981gt4 will be sort after more than the 718 version!
Might not be as polished as 718 but that’s the charm also no gpf and engine used in the club sport race version and added bonus of work arounds for engine short comings!

I am now leaning towards 981 over 718

Just waiting for the right spec car to come for sale

I see the Aberdeen Sapphire Blue 918 buckets, non CS has appeared back up for sale

Does anyone know the history of the Aberdeen Sapphire Blue car? Or maybe, are it's past owners active on here. Thanks

This looks like a great one - ordered by a Porsche employee - £22K extra in spec and PTS and concours-winning condition.

What's going on with the drivers front bumper?

Back in the market for a GT4, lots of upgrades on this one, guess it’s been heavily tracked with the mods. Anyone know a bit more history on it, would go look but it’s 130 miles from me.

It shows in two photos. It looks like something has been badly "airbrushed" over.

I sold my own heavily tracked 981 last year. At 32/34 ? thousand miles it still drove like new and was in fantastic condition due to the regular preventive maintenance that it had received. How heavily tracked ? Probably 18000 miles worth what multiple of road miles ? It still only needed 350ml of oil between 4000 mile oil changes ...

If it worries you, get it inspected ? P.S. If RPM say it's good it will be. You will get a straight answer to a straight question.

Thanks, went to look on my way back home, does indeed look good and as you say a very honest bunch of people there. Has an over rev category 4 but been inspected, compression tested, oil check and done 200hrs since.

Will they offer a guarantee in respect of the over-rev ?

200 hours ago is around 6000 miles depending upon location and use .... ?? But mine had minimal cat 3 over-revs ... and more cat 3 than cat 2 suggesting a very quick blip ...

Also worth checking, but I think an OPC extended warranty can be placed on a car with few cat 4 overs, a reasonable time ago ... not sure of the facts.

Does anyone know this GT4 (GT04 GLO)?

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202408052...

Spec looks "right" for me at least - lairy PTS colour, folding buckets, carbon interior trim, leather dash, cruise. Also a high enough mileage to not worry about using it/tracking it and with balance of warranty. Aftermarket higher wing supports by the look of it.

Any thoughts very much appreciated.
If you're still looking for one... yes it's my friend's car. It's a great example in a fantastic colour and yes, it has the wing risers. No idea of the impact on aerodynamics but it makes the rear visibility much better.
DM me if you're interested!

Thanks Shaoxter, much appreciated - had a bit of a change of plan for now but will bear in mind for the future.

This looks like a great example: PTS, ceramics and buckets and the cheapest on AT right now

I'd want to use that on track days although having the ceramics could prove problematic
