3500 miles in 10 years. There should be a law against it.

Reckon they may be viewing the rarity factor as the only OPC 981 GT4 for sale and taking a touch too far lol.

Around list price new.

Whilst the reason for the low mileage is unknown it does seem bizarre that if it was bought purely as an investment merely throwing the money into a low cost annual c0.1% charging world index tracker and simply leaving it for 10 years would have resulted in a c300% return.

If it’s the one I’m thinking off it sold for 10k less a while
back and had gaps in its history.

Absolutely. Never to be repeated in quite the same way. Only 7 months since I let go of my one after 6 years ownership. It was 9 years old last month, and I'm sure still an absolutely brilliant car.

Right choice to let it go, for the right reasons, but I'll be surprised if I ever stop regretting it. It was worth more to me than the money, but I didn't have the space. If I'd stored it, I'd have never used it.

Might turn out to be an icon, might not. But I think a landmark Porsche model once we get to proper hindsight. Importantly, one with character, which is sadly lacking in most recent cars that aren't the preserve of the super rich.

Took mine out yesterday, car is 10 years old this year but it still looks amazing, sounds amazing and the driving on some great roads felt a real event. Prices seem lower than last year, I think they offer fantastic value. Like other posters it has a real character!

This is going to upset a few 718 Gt4 owners but I certainly think the 981 will eclipse values of the 718 in future that’s if we can still drive ICE!
If Porsche never built the 981 GT4 we would never have the 4RS!

Doubtful especially bearing in mind the oldest 718 is almost 5 years newer than the oldest 981 which has clear ramifications for residuals as we get nearer to the max 15 year official Porsche warranty expiry.... as the 991.1 GT3 currently proves.

No doubting the 981 GT4s abilities but the engine deficiences from its boggo and strangled C2S non GT lump are its biggest achilees heel especially having regard to the huge advantages from the way better 718 GT4s almost GT3 comparable storming engine.

Agreed, then again. I have a 981 but even I had a 718 I’d still agree.

Oh the irony - you are just as bad.
I’ll never understand constant chatter about cars folk don’t own.

Enjoy what you drive, or sell up and move on.
Procrastination over prices past, present or future of cars you don’t own (and apparently have no interest in owning) just spams the place out.

the 991.1 gt3 residuals are purely the engine risk which the 981 gt4 does not have that's why the 991.2 gt3 is so far ahead on value (unless someone finds a fix!).

The simple fact is the 718 and 981 gt4's are both brilliant and will never be made again so you won't lose your shirt on either.
