Your dealer’s not up to speed then as APOLLO’s car is for real. Not aware of any others, ours is a September build
My Spyder is on the production line now and was due for delivery mid-July. I’ve been told today that it is being built and will then be held at the factory awaiting semi-conductors for the seats and some other parts. Delivery date to me unknown but might be ‘well into September’.

My Boxster25 was September build and is now totally off radar.

I hope yours arrives to schedule but I’d steel yourself for potential delays!!
. My opc said August build for mine. Early sept delivery

So should I take my deposit back or leave it with the dealer? In the probably vain hope that one of their buyers drops out?

Went for launch spec PDK, with a few bits like -20mm Pasm etc. Have to say one of the best handling road cars I have ever owned.

Wow. Looks great. When did you get it ?
Looks fantastic.

Glad to see some strong colour combination on a sports car. Don't worry about the resale colour guys in executive new build Barratt boxes.

Enjoy.
Looks great, love the combo.

I think the silver / red combo will be the desired option in years to come, if looking at it from the value aspect. Taking away values, it would be my pick anyway.

Though there is no ‘wrong’ combo. If it’s your money and you like it then who cares about others feelings towards it.

I don’t think the 25 will do anything silly price wise but it will certainly retain higher value over a GTS I feel.
Love red interiors...... as APOLO1 says the 930 had a 'pop' to it!!

Ultimately it's your choice but trying to put some logic around the decision process if it was me, Porsche have said they're making 1,250 examples, your dealer has been told what they've been allocated from that number and if your dealer has told you you're getting one of those allocations you should get a car at some point. So unless they make less than the number announced or the allocations change you should still get a car albeit no one can tell you when that will be.

If you trust your dealer has actually got an allocation with your name on it and can afford to leave the deposit with them for a few more months I'd be inclined to do that based on both the logic above and the fear that if I pulled the deposit now it'll be sods law they suddenly get build slots and someone else will get the car I've been waiting months for.

But that's just my thoughts and as I said its ultimately your decision.

Hope that helps

Video of the black one for sale now on YouTube. I'm quite tempted to change to black despite the pain I know it'll be to keep clean.

Has anyone had their invite to the PEC for their B25?

I had mine drop through email today and yet I’m in my dealers 2nd batch of cars and haven’t had a build date or lockdown confirmed yet.

Is this my unofficial confirmation or a mistake? Either way, I’ll use it I think as part payment towards a precision day.

Yep, had my invitation about 5 weeks ago but its in a GTS as I suppose they are effectively the same thing mechanically apart from the standard suspension. I'm booked in for early August which in theory will be about a month before the car is due to be delivered. Fingers crossed smile

Yes, I had my PEC invite (which referenced the B25 rather than a GTS) a few weeks ago. Booked for mid-August. I still don’t have a build date or lockdown date.

I’m not sure about this 2 batch thing. Is it real? I do not believe my dealer has had build dates for either of their allocation, of which I have the second car that was reserved.

OK this is sounding more promising that maybe I do have a car if you guys got your invites a few weeks ago.

I don’t know if the 2 batch thing is real - it does seem strange. I get two batches but not for the same small market like the UK.

I was told I was 3rd customer as they had managed to secure 2 extra cars from Porsche GB. When I went to see the dealer he showed me I was 4th but still second build batch and then said my Spyder allocation was brought forward from 2022 to June build.
I kind of figured I’d get bumped on the B25 but this now gives me new hope!! I’m now thinking the big spec question - PDK or manual!
I was totally manual but the Spyder is manual.

Did you post pics of yours yet? - or is it in country but awaiting engine rework/replacement?

I just picked mine up yesterday - I do not live in the U.K, but its a RHD.

Carrara white exterior, with Red top and Red leather interior. I didn't spec it personally, and took what the dealer had specified. I was extremely lucky to come across one available so late (end of May), just before it arrived in country. Only 5 for my country.

The red interior with the brushed aluminum is truly stunning. You do not feel like you are in a slaughter house as some have suggested you might - I would highly recommend this interior, regardless of the exterior color.

The red top is also a must, as it contrast's well with all three exterior paint colors, in my opinion.

I most likely would have specified GT silver if given the choice, but now seeing the metallic Carrara white in flesh, it is the best choice and most practical option. The GT silver is surely more nostalgic, but just looking at the carrara white, it presents extremely well with the red interior package and red top.

I would also suggest roll over bars painted in the exterior color...

I had a longish drive in the rain yesterday, and the standard PASM is perfect for the roads around here, which would be very similar to the UK B Roads. In standard mode, the comfort is just right, but sporty enough.

The sun is out today, so...

What do you mean? The pics I posted above a while back now had my car early May we’re taken here on UK roads, i am at almost 2k miles now it’s a great car. No engine replacement for mine it was built after the 4.0 NAs that had the potential issues.[url]

Thanks,
Genuinely surprised just how well it soaks up the bumps on B roads, very Mac like in this area. Much more fun to drive than what my 992C2S coupe and Cab were.
