but its a 30 second chat whilst making a cuppa.
"Here is a pic with a red roof, and here with black...which do you prefer...
...still red huh? ok cool
or
..oh, blacK? ok, I'll arrange to have it changed"
How it be anymore involved than that?
I'm sorry but your rationale makes zero sense.
I did show her the pics on the posts above and she said she still liked the red roof and I went ‘ah ok’. Don’t think it lasted 30 seconds tbh and I didn’t push it."Here is a pic with a red roof, and here with black...which do you prefer...

sure but at least open up debate on it. She might take one look and agree. She might not. But it is a bit odd if you ask me to not at least table the thought.
O yes, I agree. We talk about a red and black roof regularly. Ultimately we’ll get whatever she prefers I guess. I wouldn’t die in a ditch over it TBH - all over the place on it myself. The point I was making is that it’s best to pick the arguments that you’re prepared to concede. eg car colour rather than car model. spice said:
I have an October build , I own a 987 RS60 so I have replicated the spec , manual ,GT Silver , Bordeaux leather , Red Roof and a few other options , will be 13 years between them .
It would be interesting to see pictures of the 2 of them side by side when the new one arrives.scoobyc said:

Thanks but it doesn't show the roof up, thats the issue....when up it looks, in my opinion https://youtu.be/ozRmA8LLuJE
My Boxster 26 should be delivered mid August if no more delays, I wasn't brave enough to go with the red interior although does look stunning and Ill probably regret it. Went with this spec in the end.

Yes looks similar to my current config, except seats and PDK. Lockdown - end of Aug. I definitely can’t live with the red interior, like you. Which then leaves the roof. I think there is a purity about doing away with red altogether, so the roof and belts in this case. Silver/black/neodyme feels a good combination. And the windscreen surround complements the black roof.
On the other hand, that makes it less a reflection on the original prototype to which its supposed to pay homage. To be fair I would never have contemplated red at all without Porsche themselves deciding that this should be the launch combination. So the current choice of red roof / belts is a challenge, but I think I am naturally too colour conservative and need a kick up the bum on creativity.
What a first world problem!

Mrs S has a penchant for black cars atm - and thinks she still likes the red interior. She’s had a Boxster GTS with a red roof and liked it so I’m happy to give Mrs S the decision on this car - I’ve spec’d the Spyder to all my liking. By the way, this one for sale is on at £101k
I’ll be happy to drive both and see what I think about the differences.
Can I live with a red interior - I’m unsure tbh! They’re in theme of the original launch model though and I’m going to have 3 other Porsches with black interiors so it will make for some difference between the others at least.

I had the exact same challenge but needed to get it right for me as a keeper. It would be great do a meeting up of some UK ones at some point and compare spec if anyone else interested.
My spec is very similar to yours for very similar reasons. It looks like mine will be built in late September so delivery in early October. It would be great to see all the different colour combinations at a meet at some point. Voodoo Blue said:

Love reading other peoples spec and always realise Ive missed a few essentials and would have liked illuminated door sills but not an option on this. Chuffed the 25 is with the 4.0 engine and cant wait to drive. Ill be heading down to Silverstone late September/ early October so up for a meeting and various colour/spec compare would be great to see and magic photo opportunity too
