Steering wheel was £1100 brand new, airbag £300 of eBay and electronic box of tricks to make multifunction work £300 - an expensive upgrade but I didn’t have the nice Sport Design wheel, I had the awful multifunction optional wheel.

It sits 5mm lower than X73 suspension, the spacers accentuate it looking lower as wheels aren’t tucked and I have got some camber front and rear.

Side pods eBay specials but fit & finish superb.

The wheel is rather expensive upgrade. I have the sport wheel with paddles, so it’s probably not going to get replaced.

Will have a search for the side pods.

Your car looks mean. The wheels look great.

@Riskins - does that ducktail spoiler work with the active aero? Would love to see some pics with it up.

Totally agree the wheel is ridiculously expensive upgrade but it’s made the car feel night and day different both being in the cabin and how it feels as it’s slightly smaller diameter at 360mm compared to my previous wheel at 380mm.

Appreciate the positive feedback.

Yes still works with the active aero exactly the same as it does on the Spyder, unfortunately no pics.

Are those headlights standard? Or can I see carbon edging of some kind?

that looks really well, So does the 718 carbon trims fit straight into the 981 interior ?

I have fitted carplay module to mine recently and it really fetches the head unit up to date, its also wireless unlike the 718 which annoyingly still needs a wired connection.

I’ve had my 2015 GTS just over a year now, again no dramas to report and absolutely loving it still.

Made a few of the changes to it I wanted to personalise to my tastes -

718 GTS alcantara/crayon stitch/carbon interior upgrade - everything aside from top part of dash.
718 GT multifunction wheel upgrade

Still need to do something with PCM to get Apple CarPlay and may do a wheel colour change too. Also will add X73 ARB’s and 718 additional rear suspension bracing at some point too.

Can you explain what you mean by wireless CarPlay mate? Or perhaps send me a link.

I have Bose on my 981, I understood that you couldn’t upgrade the head unit with CarPlay if it had Bose. No idea why though.

All 718 parts fit straight in - door cards, seats, lower dash, carbon trim, arm rest.

I will either do Mr12V or NM Auto conversion,

This has appeared on AT recently, quite unusual spec for a GTS but I like it. Asking price is too steep imho for a private sale without OPC warranty.

Nice car though, he could have cleaned it properly before taking the pics for the advert.

55k! Jesus. Selling a 7 year old convertible going into winter would be tough going even if we weren't looking down the barrel of a gun of recession, massive interest rate increases and a cost of living crisis. Still, to the seller, good luck with that. I'd say wait a few months for the price falls, they will not defy gravity forever, especially as people start to lose their houses.
Look what's turned up on Autotrader this week

I'm sure it's the same car. When it went off AT towards the end of 2022, I thought it had sold but obviously not as still showing two owner car..

Really don't like the red top with a blue car, but that's just me.
However that is a huge chunk of cash for a 2015 car eek

Interesting thread, and it really does show how mentally high used prices were until fairly recently.

I bought a flawless 25k,1 owner BGTS last November for 45k from a respected dealer, and although it’s not the perfect spec -no climate- as it’s a fine weather car I’m not too bothered. It really was immaculate so I had PPF done to keep it that way.

Visually and driving wise I actually prefer it to the demo 4.0 GTS I had for a day and did the Porsche Experience in, and I plan to keep this car for a very long time and drive the arse off it.

I will use this as proof to show the wife that my better specced GTS with similar mileage bought 10 months ago for substantially less money is a brilliant investment as it’s clearly going up in value even when times are hard like they are.

My red GTS is currently up for sale at MJM on autotrader , I think it looks decent value compared to others that are up for sale and it's a great car with a decent spec, its had interest but nothing firm as yet, will see if it gets any more interest if the weather eventually improves . I have seen pics of the blue one due in and the colour does nothing for me, I do think a sports car should be in a bright colour but as ever colour is a very personal thing.

I still can't help thinking that my 981 did a better job of everything than the 718 Spyder I bought to replace it does and one thing which can't be disputed the 3.4's in these GTS's make a much better noise, I have given up trying to make the 4.0 sound as good, even with the valves locked open its nothing like vocally.

Everything is personally subjective, but I actually love the sound my 4.0 makes, much more 911! However the power delivery even just using 3,500 rpm as only on 500 miles is just awesome.
As a previous sceptic I am totally blown away with the BGTS 4.0.....but just my opinion and I am very happy I went from the 981 to the 718.
The fact that Silverstone have just advertised and sold a 7/21 PDK car with similar spec but 8,000 miles for the same as I paid for a new car 3 weeks ago makes this purchase a bargain or so I have told wifey thumbup

One thing that struck me, both before and after buying my 2016 Cayman GTS is how there seems to be little asking price variation between 2014 and 2016 cars.

taking the Cat S car out that seems to have been for sale for ever, the price spread is £38500 for the cheapest GTS with 58,000 mile manual with a marmite colour combo, up to £53k for the recently added blue car, I can't recall if it was the one linked earlier advertised private but it went through BCA this week in the Top Car auction so not sure who the vendor that entered it was.

the most expensive I have seen recently for sale was the yellow GTS which I think was up at £57k, that appears to have now sold or gone from Autotrader. So I would say the current prices are there abouts for the age and mileage of what's on offer.
