It's also notable that the price of this and the same era 911 is somewhat different and I don't think it's just scarcity, this era Spyder is just a genuinely nice car and I don't think it was improved on, even with a GT engine in it.
I do agree on black but it’s a case of choosing what you can with the options that you want.
I’d also say that black doesn’t photograph well, a bit like the wheels on my GT3. They look great in real life but in photos look as crap as any black wheels do.
In real life a black spyder looks just fine.

I think it’s a really nice car, spec seems ok and price looks reasonable enough in the current climate that you wouldn’t stress over it, that might be worth a visit for us.

Bloody hell took car in for service yesterday. Looked at the numbers and realised I ve only done 1300 miles since last service exactly two years ago. (Pretty much just the two Le Mans trips). (2010, sat at just over 18,000miles)
I love the car, but I do consider whether it is worth keeping with such little use. Nothing deliberate about keeping miles low, just how it goes. Either use cash to invest more or scratch the boating itch that is building. But I know for sure the boat will cost more than the car to run!
On ferry tomorrow with it for Le Mans again, where no doubt any thoughts of getting rid will evaporate again!
As predicted. Loved having the Spyder to use for the Le Mans trip. Thoughts of selling disappear again.
Some lovely sections of road found which were a real delight and reminded me about everything the car offers.

My newly-acquired example is going into a local Porsche specialist tomorrow for some wheel geometry work. They had it for an hour last week for a quick inspection and test drive. The verdict was that everything was generally OK, all suspension elements are equally old/worn for a 16 year old 35k miles car, but nothing is need of immediate replacement; the tyres are in good condition and showing no uneven wear. However the steering wheel is slightly off centre, so it would definitely benefit from being looked over and adjusted.
