Who said you can't polish one of those?

I actually rather like it, but at the same time, I'm glad it's not mine.
Very good Liam, I have just got the joke!

Well after 3 years of lust after a GT4RS, I've just committed to one of the last new ones available.

Thank you Tyrone for your advice, this is almost the same spec as yours but in blue. I specifically wanted a non Weissach pack car. The only thing I would have added on a new factory order is probably ceramics.

This has got:
Front lift
Racetec interior in grey
PLDS (LEDs)
Chrono
Black calibers
Bose

Very nice ... put your PCCB money towards ST's if that's your usage ?? (And keep the steels for resale time ??)

You might wear the steels out while you are waiting for them though. Hoping to have a set on mine for the start of the season. Ordered in July...

I'd suggest you follow up on that with the reseller or maybe take your order else where.
I have seen plenty of orders for ST kits after yours which have already been fulfilled - so seems strange that yours has not been.

Seller has been in conversation with Surface Transforms on my behalf throughout. I may have been queue jumped once or twice, as I was unlikely to get them on in time for anything meaningful at the end of last summer, and still wanted to test "Phase 2" of my upgrades thoroughly before trying reducing unsprung mass in a big way. So I was relaxed about delivery dates, and ST were busy with some OEM work that I definitely didn't want to be holding up. Need that share price to keep climbing!

Called them today, and turns out I was a due a call to say ST didn't manage to get all outstanding orders out before Christmas as intended. However my discs have been made and are in the queue awaiting their final skim. As soon as they have a delivery date I'll be booking in for discs, brakelines and a bit of ride height adjustment ready to try out "Phase 3". Must get those mag wheels out of the workshop and into a set of tyres soon too. That way the unsprung weight loss is more like surgery than a diet, so even I should notice it.

Collected my SRS on Saturday, had a 70 mile back home from the dealership in Hull. Unfortunately heavy rain all the way home.

Although they both have 'some aero', 'some suspension' and 'some brakes' as part of their packages, that isn't the complete story... they aren't really the same thing at all. Both Dundon and Manthey would agree with that.
