Tyrone,
Watched the video carefully shortly after you posted, but have only just got around to responding.
Really, really nicely driven lap. I am very impressed at the way you conserve momentum. I've never driven round Goodwood, and in fact the only time I was driven round was in a Subaru estate car when we were taking a battery trolley round to restart a single seater that had gone off. 1992 I think. Tony Marsh was in the driving seat, and he certainly knew his way around Goodwood.
I'd be a little terrified about the long grassy run-offs into banks in my 4RS. Does it feel terrifying? There are some really quick corners, in fact looked one hell of a quick lap overall, while smoothly driven. Frankly, I'm not quite sure I'd have the balls for it.
Great video, thanks for posting.

I really enjoy Goodwood - I do like the element of risk that it represents - the requirement for precision definitely focuses the mind, and the limits of the track set the window (figuratively and literally) through which have to thread the needle and try to get performance - all part of the fun for me.

Yeah - Garmin ... Has been inspected loads times and all marshals have been fine with it.
I feel the need to almost hide mine down low because of course you aren't allowed "timing" on track days. The marshals haven't complained about this?I generally have other GPS data logging running also - so if I have turn the Garmin off - I still can track progress and pull some data retrospectively.

Evening chaps….
I’m trying to figure out the correct part numbers for a Schroth 6 point harness for the passenger side on my 4RS..
I think I need the following parts, can anyone confirm?
98180301780 Porsche six point belt (I think this is the same as the Schroth part 94680-0 without Porsche tax?)
98180301580 Fixing kit 6-point safety harness belt. LEFT

That's helpful Tyrone. Are those ones black? I think the original red ones from the 981 GT4 Clubsport kit were the same part number, but ending 80. Not sure the belts have ever changed aside from webbing colour. I miss the red belts, and the car they came in!
Those are black yes. From my 4RS. The original 981 GT4 belts were Red and 3x3

In my quest for incremental improvements, I found an interesting thing out today.
Musing over getting a set of Porsche magnesium wheels, and having seen them advertised on the aftermarket for a little over £18k, I thought I'd check in with the OPC to see how much a set was through Porsche Tequipment. Now only available in black, but £14,040 including VAT. And then it got a bit better, because I got a little discount offered on top of that too.
I double checked back on the configurator, and the price of the bare rims was about the same as the cost of having magnesium wheels as a new car build option. Which my "man maths" tells me gets me the magnesium wheels I was pondering over when spec'ing the car, and a spare set of aluminium alloy rims for free. I got the cash transferred to secure the order as quick as I could.
I won't be fitting them yet, as the next phase of the upgrade is the rest of the Suspension Secrets Kinematics kit (springs and anything needed with them). But a track day or 2 after those are fitted, I'll get the mag wheels on, and perhaps think about getting ST ceramic brakes fitted at the same time. Not getting the springs fitted until mid-July, but will be out on track a couple of weeks after.
I'll report back on how much better it gets with wheel rates and ride heights better sorted. Silverstone International again, so if it's dry I'll get a nice direct lap time comparison with the previous setup. I'm quietly expecting great things from this change. I doubt very much that the much more expensive change to mag wheels will make anything like the difference that geometry has, or that spring rates and lower ride heights will.

My brake upgrade is finally inbound, cant wait to get it all built up and fitted.
I saw an IG reel in the week of someone in the US that is running the full suspension secrets kit inc springs. It looked really stable and drivable…. Difficult to get a full pov though as i dont know if the lap was representative pace and also couldn’t determine the quality of the surface. It looks good though.
Basically->
Spats all the way DOWN on the Front is LdF
Spats all the way UP on the Front is HdF
For the Rear the rear of the wing is a pivot point - the adjustment is done on the front with 3 positions.
Wing all the way UP/Flat is LdF
Wing all the way Down/tilted is HdF.
There is a mid point front and rear for MdF also
The car is delivered from the factory in LdF Front and Rear.

By the book - Max 7k rpm up to 932mls/1500KM.
I did a slight variation within the same broad parameter-
Max 4k from 0-500mls
Max 5k from 500-600
Max 6k from 600-700
Max 7k from 700-900
Max 8k from 900-1200 or so
Then leashed from 1200 onwards.
Main thing is to vary engine loads and drive it properly - dont baby it - just get up to temp and drive it. You’ll be going pretty fast on the road anyway even at 5k rpm.
