No I changed to a 2018 991.2 GT3RS which cost me the same ... but chose a non WP non-particulate filter car, one owner, 7000 miles ish from an OPC.
It's now fitted with ST's and Mags (to make the best of it) but ridiculously over a series of modifications I also have the original steel discs and pads, and a set of PCCB's with Manthey pads !!
Oh Nice Chris! Hopefully I have a chat to come see it in action next year and grab a passenger lap, its been a while, need to see T's 4RS too! Slightly different topic, I've been considering body coloured (GT Silver) decals on the GT4RS insert on the rear spoiler end plates. I think it'll lift the look of the black.
Has anyone done similar? I've seen a few kits online, but I'm likely to go to a wrap shop instead.
Thoughts? Will it look rubbish?
It’s only an extremely minor modification however it’s enough to look a bit naff imho…..Has anyone done similar? I've seen a few kits online, but I'm likely to go to a wrap shop instead.

The car looks the business as it is…..
My Spyder RS came with Cup2's which overall i've been happy with during the summer months. Now thinking to swap tyres to something more suitable to all round road use. It's very unlikely i'll do a trackway anytime soon.
The established answer of course is Michelin PS4S however has anyone tried a Continental Sport Contact 7? They're coming in £200 cheaper and are outperforming the PS4S in almost every test.
I've booked a tour in the Alps for late July next year and thinking that something that can handle both dry and wet conditions might be a better choice for my road use.

I have just bought a set of these for my Alpine will report back. They are supposed to be a wonder tyre. The established answer of course is Michelin PS4S however has anyone tried a Continental Sport Contact 7? They're coming in £200 cheaper and are outperforming the PS4S in almost every test.

The Conti Sport Contact 7's are an excellent tyre but do not last anywhere near as long as a PS4S. I have PS4S's on my GT4 and our G87 M2 and I have had no issues with them at all on both cars. The established answer of course is Michelin PS4S however has anyone tried a Continental Sport Contact 7? Please, can somebody confirm the battery type fitted to the 4/S RS?
Looks like fat boy full lead and not skinny Lithium??
This I find strange. Why would all 992 models get a lighter lithium, even a base Carrera, when the RS GT4/Spyder (featherweight as possible) gets a heavy standard battery??

Yes, full weight of lead acid battery came with my GT4 RS - might be an AGM, I'll have a look next time I put it on charge.Looks like fat boy full lead and not skinny Lithium??

Why? Really not sure, but I'm guessing they need to slow them down rather than speed them up compared to the 992, and of course preserve a cost difference for the new cars.

Many thanks for that. I hadn't looked there as I couldn't separate the brake cooling duct seals from the plastic cover but I think I know how to do it now. I don't have a manual for the car yet and searching for things in the on-line version is a bit of a pain.Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
