718 Spyder - looking to buy
Discussion
Here still looking for my ideal car.
I think a few have shifted in the last month including below:
Black manual, sat plat wheels with a nice spec inc Burmester.
Shark Blue with PDK/Bucket seats from John Holland.
Neither suited my want list. An absolute turnoff for me is red stitching on the interior, worse, red seats/dash. Why would you ever chose that. Omg.
There's a lovely Gentian blue, but again IMHO ruined with red stitching and pull handles on doors.
3 new 718 Spyders listed in the last few days, 2 White and a Silver. I would consider a Silver but, argh red interior. Lots of White and Silver ones.
I have been flapping between PDK and Manual. Currently now PDK, in that 'moment' its still good to have both hands on the wheel.
Observation: On higher mileage cars look for road rash on the intakes front and sides eg black trim, i would ppf them areas from new if possible(?) as they can show alot of wear.
At the end of the day they are all beautiful and the uniqeness appeals to all invidually of course.

please don't tell me you want a "boring" black interior !
A Spyder needs to be a little 'extrovert' , hence why the red leather + black Alcantara works so well
Not for me it doesn't its hideous, hence most of the unsold Spyders on here currently are all blighted with red stitching or dash areas or roofs omg. A Spyder needs to be a little 'extrovert' , hence why the red leather + black Alcantara works so well
I am buying the car primarily on its mechanical and technical merits not for attention or looks, else i would buy a frog green or lava orange Lambo with a wizpop engine map to spit flames out the back to be the ultimate right foot king at the lights.
I spotted a PTS Oak Green from a UK Spyder meet on youtube earlier, had a plain interior and satin plat wheels oh right up my alley.

It’d be a sad world if everybody liked only plain interiors with grey stitching, can be a bit dull, yet I dislike shark blue and would take a car in gt silver as a preference….I am buying the car primarily on its mechanical and technical merits not for attention or looks, else i would buy a frog green or lava orange Lambo with a wizpop engine map to spit flames out the back to be the ultimate right foot king at the lights.

I wouln't normally go for GT SIlver either but this car like certain older GT3's GT Silver just works. Not the most exciting colour i know!

I went GT silver, with buckets and red stitching and couldn't be happier - by comparison GT Silver on my previous 992T was a bit MEH I wouln't normally go for GT SIlver either but this car like certain older GT3's GT Silver just works. Not the most exciting colour i know!

Mine's very similar spec. I actively sought out a GT Silver Spyder. I'm not at all averse to the brighter colours (previous 997 GT3 was Guards Red) but to my eyes certain colours really suit certain cars and I've always thought the 718 Spyder really suits GT Silver.Only my opinion obviously and thankfully other opinions differ so we have cars in all the different colours

Possibly the same car?
Stunning. Platinum wheels and black brake callipers. Perfect combo. Buckets too. Not so keen on stitching but rest is lovely.bennno said:

As i mentioned above theses cars look stunning in GT Silver long may you enjoy it, have you joined Craigs Spyder club, seems to be the place to join for UK members anyway. How do you find handling, have you had Porsches previously or aside to the 718 Spyder?
