Nice, but a bit rich for my wallet Zero7 said:
Where do we think 718 Spyder values will level out to in the next year? seems to be a vary wide range of price from high 60's to low 90's.
There's a wide range out there, but for sure only 1 Spyder has sold in the last few months i am aware of(a black one nice spec with Burmester but not for me). Nothing is shifting at all, and nothing new coming on line. I have to say in the current market i wouldn't be willing to pay much over 70k there's a beautiful white one a shade under 70k with 14k miles been there for a while now, that doesn't make sense.if that's not selling at that price.. I tried to value a few on motorway which normally gives reasonably positive value, they were being valued around 63-65k.

Cameron cars sold two in that timeframe, both 72k ish, one gt silver, one Miami blue, both high spec 2019/20 cars.I have to say in the current market i wouldn't be willing to pay much over 70k there's a beautiful white one a shade under 70k with 14k miles been there for a while now, that doesn't make sense.if that's not selling at that price.. Anyone actually been to see this or test drive it ?I am quite tempted by this myself ,but it seems to of been sat for some time with Ashgoods thats a suprised as they usually fly out the door with them guys. Its due a service too so could could factor that into the cost.I see dovehouse also has 1 with higher miles but with buckets too thats been around for a while.

Thank you for that, very helpful, there is a nice shark blue one but at £85k for s 21 plate I think I'll wait to see what happens, I'm not going to buy until spring anyway. Also concur that these cars are just sitting there and not shifting right now. It does look good and an ok spec too, however white isn't for me.... Could still be a good purchase for the spring and summer though.
Looking at these 718 Spyder, some examples seem to have the basic a/c rather than the optional climate control.
I appreciate it's a convertible, with the emphasis of spec now appearing as important as the condition and provenance of the car, is the lack of climate control a big issue for resale?

The current configurator shows dual-zone climate control as standard, but has it always been so?. I've seen Boxsters described as having a/c (or not even mentioned at all), when you can clearly see two temperature control knobs.I appreciate it's a convertible, with the emphasis of spec now appearing as important as the condition and provenance of the car, is the lack of climate control a big issue for resale?

I think mines got climate, but tbh, it’s a convertible, the roof should be down when it’s sunny, failing that if it’s really hot then cold coming out of air vents is cold coming out of air vents imho - ac will never be incredible on a car with a canvas roof. Chaps, I get the convertible thing... I have always had a convertible car, without a/c and haven't used the roof in the last 30 years!
I would prefer a Spyder with a/c delete... etc...
The question was, how fickle is the market to spec, do buyers insist on the almost pointless (in this car) full climate?
If I were to buy one, I don't know how long I would keep it for?
Should I move it on, would a standard a/c non climate car end up being a liability to sell?.

having bought a used Spyder, the only thing I wanted was manual + buckets .. everything else a bonus. I would prefer a Spyder with a/c delete... etc...

That plus the leather dash To be honest I have two GT4s, one with all the bells and whistles including leather dash and one that is quite sparse. You don’t notice the difference. The wife actually prefers the lesser specced car, unless the other one has fuel in the tank of course.

With regard to the climate control question, mine has it but the first thing I do after starting the car with the roof down is press the "a/c" button so it's off. Can't see the point of running an aircon compressor constantly trying to "control the climate" when it's fighting a losing battle against nature...
It's a nonsense that cars this price didn't have climate as standard. I wouldn't be without on any modern car, set the temp and leave it.
The fancy-pants lights are IMO not needed (I have them on my 2021 Spyder). I never drive it in the dark. On a daily, they would be very handy but not a weekend sports car
