Autoglass have just quoted me £29 to have a windscreen chip filled and an extra £150 for wiper replacement which apparently is definitely needed after a windscreen chip.... I can buy OEM Bosch aero blades for £26 and fit them in 5 minutes!
Autoslags charge more than £29.00 for a chip repair. What reason did they give for having to change the wipers after repair?

My 718 Spyder is in for a service and it s clear they have some eye opening service extras at Porsche

Front springs lightly corroded £3176 + £666 alignment £3842

Adjust parking brake air gap £333

Exhaust triangle bolts, cat bolts, rear tail clamps £1378.63

Are those prices about right, they seem astronomical
Sounds like a bargain TBH. They quoted me to change MAF (Mass Air Flow) 8 years ago for £900, I just ordered online (€95) and changed it by myself for 5 minutes. laugh

Did you actually need a new MAF?

Yup, it was not working. You would try obviously cleaning and etc.. but was not worth it, the new unit was not much hassle, unless OPC replaced it ofcourse hehe

Surely lightly corroded springs were contributing to it too?

Benno, there’s now an Indy down at St Clears, I popped in a month or two back, haven’t used him yet, but will take the Cayenne down for its next service.

Hah. I’ve already booked him for the exhaust bits, visited his opening day as he’s perhaps 5 mins from our house.

I think if car wasn’t under warranty / fpsh then I’d just let him service it.
