That's what happens when you rush! I can waffle about Porsche calipers all day...

You can use the 993 discs and theyre relatively light, but you will need to use specially manufactured hats to give you the 5mm back. Someone like Ian Godney at Godspeed will be able to supply these.

Off the top of my head, I think that you can use the original centres if youre using BBs or BRs on a car which doesn't have M030 hubs as the 5mm can be allowed for in the radially mounting adapter.
I think you are right on all counts. The problem with the custom hats is that er.. they are custom, thus costing an arm and a leg. Also, at least on my MOViT kit, it was specified that every third disc change, new hats were also required. Perhaps an overkill, but them Germans are usually spot on...

As to the 964T discs - I get them from Berlyn and he is the best price, but the 928GTS Sebros there are £200+, so 964T discs it is...

Personally, having done a few 55s laps at Brands in my 944T racer (S engine with a few goodies, but non-S brakes) I think Big Blacks are an overkill on most 944s. Medium Blacks with good discs and pads seem to be more than enough. Ok, if you are running 500+ bhp, 265 + front tires, then maybe you need Big Blacks on a 944T...

Bert has retired and sold up! Im hoping that the people have have bought the business (Tom Barker and his father - Augment Automotve (944 DME replacement)) will carry on in a similar vein, but one of BGs strong point was his knowledge.

For replacement hats try Ian Godney: Id be surprised if he cant offer a better price and his quality is first rate.
