Seems that way.

Someone in our family put a deposit down for a GTS last week and are being quoted a November build slot. Incidentally, a diesel S would have been longer (possibly March next year!).

This follows what happened with me I was looking at the end of the year for my gts but it arrives in one month.

If you are looking at the petrol I would seriously suggest getting the gts priced up against it as remember options add very little value and the gts comes with a lot more as standard, so that actual cost especially on finance might actual work out cheaper on the gts as residuals are bound to be stronger.

Incidentally i've just been offered a November build slot but haven't driven one and i'm torn as it would be to replace my Audi RS4.

Don't suppose anyone has any experience? I had a Cayenne Turbo many moons ago and swapped to the RS4 because i got bored of it.

I'm in the middle of trying to purchase one at ther moment, from my understanding if I order this week delivery for December is possible.

I have two dealers looking and both are saying similar things, I guess they must be increasing supply due to demand. Originally inlooked at the diesel and by the time you load it up you end up around the same figure, my justification is the gts will be more fun plus it will only do 12k a year max so no real benefit IMO in having a diesel.

I'm just struggling to decide the colour!

From my understanding it all depends on what build slots your dealer has available. Be better to ask the dealer rather than a forum, as I guess you will get mixed replies.

I looked at a few used but to be honest the difference in price was marginal, made sense to wait and get a new one.

We had an Evoque. Gutless performance, mediocre handling, OK interior. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Even my wife hated it. Now got a Macan and wondering why anyone would now buy an Evoque, or any other company SUV for that matter. It is awesome in every way except fuel consumption, but hey, live a little and enjoy the ride.

might wait and see what the new q5 is like

does anyone buy basic macans or are they all blinged up? basic model with sat nav and heated seats would do us but a chum reckoned we'd never sell it with no options

I bought a incorrectly ordered car a year or so back with no Nav or heated seats not even Bluetooth , so no hands free. Used for a couple of months and sold no problem at all for exactly what I paid for it .

I think Nav , heated seats and Bluetooth would be fine .

Spoke with a client yesterday who ordered a petrol Macan during the week - November delivery.

Diesel would have been same month.

I am finding the delivery times all a bit random. Put a deposit on a petrol S about 3 weeks ago and told lock down will be in Dec for mid to late Q1 delivery. Went back to SE today to try and swap to a GTS but told that delivery would then be Q2 at earliest........

If you have an iPhone then save money on the Satnav by ordering Apple car connect option instead. For me it signals the beginning of the end for the premium priced manufacturer Satnav option. It works perfectly and has all the Apple apps available on your car's touch screen display - maps, music, etc.

I think it helps to have passed purchase history with the opc you are speaking with. A friend who has no Porsche history was told a new macan would take around 6 months.

I was told it would be roughly April/May for an S yesterday. So about 8 months (I have no previous ownership).

They might have a second hand turbo coming in though and my calculator may get a workout now!
