Finally picked mine up yesterday. Only done 150 miles in it but hugely impressed....ride and "get up and go" are first class....can't imagine what it'll go like when the engine loosens up in a few thousand miles. Lord knows what the Turbo S is like and why you'd need one! Fit and finish are just miles ahead of my old X5. Car is booked in tomorrow to have a treatment to the less than impractical leather interior biggrin

This

Seems to get good reviews and they seem pretty confident it works...someone on here recommended it then I found Detailing World (which is a whole other world). Dye transfer from Jeans is the main issue we have...well anything is an issue with a cream/black interior! Also having a Ceramic treatment for the paintwork to make it easier to keep clean.

I've used LTT previously;
on a cream Cayenne interior !
yes it works.

However, I've tried something different on my new X5 - with Ivory leather (will I ever learn...)

Good friend of mine runs http://www.autoshinespecialistvaleting.co.uk

He has his own range of products.
the leather cleaner & stain protect IMHO is better than that from LTT.

and it's cheaper

The LTT Dye Block doesn't work. So will have a look at that if the Dr Leather Dye Block product I ordered yesterday isn't any good! Thanks.

Great cars aren't they and quick but I'd like to free up some of the V8 soundtrack.

Let me know if you hear of a way without changing the exhaust and without invalidating the warranty!

On dye block, I have some experience of these products having had many cars with light grey/cream/white interiors.....and I typically wear jeans.

Anyway, these dye blocks don't actually 'block' the dye - jeans dye will still transfer onto the seat and the nature of the (very contrasting) two colours means you'll still see it. No dye block can stop this.

The crucial bit is that the dye transfers onto, and sits on, the dye block rather than staining the lacquer of the leather. The dye block makes it very easy to clean. A bi-weekly wipe over with a damp microfibre and bi-monthly reapplication of the dye block keeps the leather looking new.

So, in this respect the LTT product works just fine. You'll find similar with Dr Leather dye block too, although I must admit I prefer this to the LTT because it's seems to put up an even more robust barrier.

Lovely midnight blue / cream colour combo by the way.
