I did a similar move. Bought a brand news Diesel but it was not the latest facelift, so got a big discount.
I do not really consider it a Porsche in any form, but it is a nice car to be in and not bad to drive for an SUV. I was expecting better economy though; I average around 36mpg. My dad had a Cayenne diesel with the same engine almost 10 years ago and I'm sure he got 40mpg on a run.
The reason why I mention it is that I've done 10,00 miles on it in about 7 months, so it makes a difference!
I was going to trade it in when my GT4 is ready but sounds like maybe I should keep it if I'm going to get shafted by the OPC.
