Its does not!..I will Ro-Ro it to Hamburg or Bremerhaven in May for pickup June and I will go to the NS of course. I picked my Sport Turismo about two weeks ago..Mine is Jet Black,black rims,black sports tail pipes with privacy glass and Panoramic roof. I p/xed my five month white Panamera for it as i much preferred the look of the Sport Turismo..The third rear seat is a lot more practical than it looks as i'm a broad shouldered 5' 10 1/2'' was able to sit in it with my similar sized sales guy sat next to me.
The bigger trunk is only 25L bigger but the shape and low loading height make it much more practical than the Panamera saloon..It looks good sat in my garage next to my new GT3.2 in Racing yellow. Totally polar opposite Porsches yet i love them both for obviously different reasons.
Merry Christmas and i wish we had Canada's white Christmas rather our wet muggy one..

I agree that the Sport Turismo is not a giant leap in practicality from the normal Panamera, but ,like you, I do think it a much.much better looking vehicle. As I have a Great Dane which will not fit in the luggage area I am keeping my elderly Cayenne for dog duties

I think I know my (rather lower) limitations...and hence have never driven the NS.Re: the dog (and accepting GDs aren't small), can they fit in with the seats folded? Yes a Great Dane could fit with seats folded but its a bit dangerous to have a big dog roaming loose - with the Cayenne she is behind a dog grille that is permanently affixed and the rear seatback upRe: the dog (and accepting GDs aren't small), can they fit in with the seats folded? I believe you can buy dog-covers for some cars (aunt and uncle had a dog kit that clipped in for their E39, covering seats and doors, etc...albeit for a far smaller dog!).

With a dog the size of a Dane she could swing round if tethered that way in the event of an accident. She naturally lies down in the rear deck of the Cayenne and has the dog grille to prevent head on the shoulder issues for rear seat passengers.
The Pana has a very low roofline so doubt she will fit. I will of course try it but think she will be more tightly confined than Hannibal

I like the look but doubtless it will not work for some, and an all-red car with all the chrome blacked out is definitely going to turn some people off. Luckily there are lots of other choices. I recall when I bought a Bangle 645ci and then the E63 M6 I took a lot of comments about how ugly these cars were. very fair comments, but I liked the look of them then and I still doI probably just have bad taste in cars.

Interestin observation on the third seat. I recently had a few days with one for a look at replacing my E63S AMG, and found the third seat smaller than I’d have liked. To be fair its more my youngest daughter (who would be sitting there) rather than me who preferred the Mercedes. Its not so much the seat itself but the transmission tunnel......The bigger trunk is only 25L bigger but the shape and low loading height make it much more practical than the Panamera saloon..It looks good sat in my garage next to my new GT3.2 in Racing yellow. Until this version showed up I was no fan either. The first version was a fright pig and the second, while much better was not great. I do think this will have limited appeal but eventually my Cayenne will give up the ghost and I will also likely get a smaller dog ( not soon I hope) . Will hang on to the current sports cars but realistically , at 69 years old , how many more will I buy? This is a nice transition car, superb for the multi-thousand mile trips I habitually take. In the summer,apart from a Ring visit I will do a long run through Germany and maybe Italy.
This will be a ten year car I imagine. (My current garage is 14,12,10,10,5,and 2 years old).
Might do one more RS when the 992 shows up but do not have the burning desire I once had despite being in good physical shape.
At some point we all are affected by age and I feel lucky to be able to still work quite a lot and do everything I have always done.
However time flies and even the passion I have always had for the internal combustion engine will be a thing of the past. The day of electric cars is nigh. Not tomorrow but I have a strong feeling that this type of car, big turbo V8 , no hybrid, is on the endangered list.
So I am going to have fun with it

I need to clarify my post i think..My initial thoughts on the middle rear seat based on appearance was that they seemed useless..I expressed my views to the sales guy, who then suggested i try them out..Despite being awkward for ingress/egress as you quite rightly point out ,once seated i found plentiful headroom(Panoramic roof helps) and sufficient shoulder/legroom although i wouldn't want to spend a long time there. For a smaller person/child i think they imbue the Sport Turismo with extra practicality which was totally absent from my strict four seat Panny saloon.First world problem of course.

Agree that for occasional use , particularly for a kid, it is an improvement. Still, sitting splay legged for any time is not great:About a minute into this vid review you can see the seating clearly:.
