I was reading Autocar last night and saw that the revised Macan is on its way with new engines and slightly different look.

They suggest it will land in September.

The article makes no mention of Diesel so I assume they are going forward with petrol only?

Yes, it's the normal Porsche mid-life 'facelift'.

In regards to the interior thats what my dealer told me in September when we ordered a Macan. I did question it but it makes sense, when the dash has changed to the new touch buttons on the panamera and cayenne it has been during a change to a new model, not a facelift. Also it was not that long ago that the PCM was changed to include the car play etc on the Macan.

It will mean that the Macan will be the last to switch to the new dash i think with Boxsters/Caymans and 911's being next.

Also on the Diesel, i suppose with the current loss of appetite for Diesels and if they do a good hybrid it may mean they don't need to do a Diesel. It would seem a bit sudden to drop it though.

FYI mY OPC seemed sure that there will still be a Cayenne Diesel when I last spoke to them....whether that's the same for Macan I don't know. Given this is a f\acelift I'd guess they will continue to make the diesel cars if demand is there. They haven't announced the Cayenne Hybrid either yet so definitely not full model range disclosed.

The AMG will be faster & have a better sound than the Macan, but either you get Porsche or you don't & I do so I'd get the Macan. Every. Single. Day

AMG is a nice car, I personally do not like the sound, but its expensive. I would say you can spec a very nice Macan Turbo for £68-£70k.
A decent spec on a GLC63S will be pushing closer to £90k. Its a lot faster yes, but its a different car IMHO. Closer to Cayenne Turbo really than Macan.
The Macan is not designed to be *really* fast, its basically the entry level car for Porsche now. If you want proper speed you just get a 911 Turbo S and be done with it. biggrin

Macan Turbo PP is plenty fast enough real world daily. In fact I'd say it's just about the best daily driver Porsche make...can waft nearly as well as a Cayenne/Panamera, as fast as many of the sports cars Porsche (you need a 911 GTS or Turbo to really embarass it), best handling car in it's class by a margin and is capable of doing all of the above 365 days a year.
