I know there’s a rumour of a new Macan sometime soon. I’m really hoping that they also introduce a new diesel too. Does anyone know when it arrives?

I know lots of people are anti-diesel these days but as I tow diesel works really well for that purpose. I love them so much I’ve had three already and think they’re the best all-round car you can buy.

Anyone got secret insight?

It’s a mid-life ‘facelift’. Probably be seen at one of the Autumn shows, with deliveries at the end of this year, early next.
I understood Diesel production was being temporarily suspended but reintroduced in the future.

+1. I was recently at the new Cayenne launch and I'm sure a rep said they were discontinuing diesel stuff. I think all the diesel lumps are Audi donor engines.

I was also told there might be some end of line deals to be had on the Macan Turbo PP's. My wife currently has a Macan GTS (which is a great car) but I might try and persuade her to chop it in for a Turbo PP..... 'of course you need loads more power darling'..... fiendish eh?

Talk is of 3.0 Turbo for the "S" with c.340-350bhp and 2.9 Turbo for the "Turbo" with c.430bhp.

I’ve just bought a PP, it’s a brilliant daily. I’d be surprised if you can get much of a deal as with no cars coming through over the summer they won’t struggle to sell new cars. When diesels were cancelled OPC’s got a decent amount of extra petrol cars through of which they got a lot of GTS’s....I reckon you’d have more chance with one of them.

Hmmmmm doesn’t look as though you can configure a new Macan of any type on the configurator. Is this a hint that the model is due soon?

Oh right. So I'm guessing the new Macan Turbo is getting the Audi RS4 lump.

Probably with a few minor differences and different calibration.

Paid my deposit on a Sept 18 delivery back end of last year as current car 3 yr old in Sept.

This now pushed back to Jan 19.

Was first told factory closure not really make any difference maybe October then told new year.

Could the delays be related to the new WLTP and RDE emmission tests?
