Hello,
Getting the 951 out for a spin down to the Goodwood Breakfast Club this weekend and left it running while I gave it a quick rinse. After a little while, there was a hiss and a loud "POP" then steam everywhere, whilst the entire contents of the cooling system trickled down the drive. Quickly turned the engine off and investigated. As soon as I lifted the bonnet and saw the fan relay sitting beside the fuse box, it all came back to me...
When I went to the Simply Porsche Beaulieu meet earlier in the year, I had to pull the fan relay due to it not turning off more than an hour after parking up, I didn't put it back in and just forgot all about it.
I am hoping its just a hose that will need to be replaced, any ideas or experiences to share?
keeping my fingers crossed and oh, I still have the relay issue to fix :-/

Cheers
Bruce

Thought I would keep this thread alive with the result of my recent experience.

Turns out to be a heater disc valve that popped.

Looks like I have had a lucky escape!

MOT was due as well and just having the Koni rear shocks replaced to enable a pass, hopefully some better handling ahead.

With a bit of luck I will get it back to go the hatch on Sunday otherwise I will be blowing the dust off my 996.
