I’m looking into the possibility of getting a 997 GT3, I have a real soft spot for Porsche.
I’ve had a 993 and currently own a 996 C4s, but I have a serious urge to get a GT3. There are a couple of things holding me back.

1. Cost. The cheapest available is around £65k - this is over double the most I’ve spent on a car and I’d have to finance a portion of it. I’d have to buy at the lower end of the market so that narrows the search to a 997.1 but it’s still a substantial cost that I need to overcome.

2. Ride height. I don’t have a garage but do have a drive albeit a steep drive. My C4S has been lowered and it just about gets on without bottoming out. Does anyone know the measurement between floor and the bottom of the splitter, so I can compare with mine?

3. I really want bucket seats, just for that special feel however this would be my only car and I’d need to use the back for storage, does the GT3 come with folding buckets from the factory or would I need these to be retro fitted?

On pionts 2 & 3 it sounds like you need to be looking at a 997.2 GT3 with front axle lift and folding buckets. To my knowledge, neither were available on the 997.1, although someone who actually knows this may tell us otherwise.

Buy on condition, not budget.

This one looks pretty good but sadly outside of OP's budget: https://www.gravelwood.co.uk/used/cars/porsche/911...
