Delivery due March 2019.

Need advice on the spec

21 RS Alloys,
Pano Roof
Grey
Air Suspension
Sports Chrono
Lighting Pack
Storage options.
BOSE
Heated Seats front
Black roof rails

However I've not gone for leather or reversing camera as I prefer alacantara and also I never use reversing Cameras...

Should I of gone with leather...?

Thoughts?

Only reason to buy a new car is to spec it how you want imo.

Leather on the Macan/Cayenne is actually quite good value as far as Porsche options go IMHO...gets rid od the plastic dash and doors which makes a massive difference to the interior. I was in a new Cayenne yesterday which had the plastic dash...really let’s the car down in my view.

Your choice of course but I think the cameras are a godsend. I have the surround view thing and it's great for avoiding kerbing wheels in narrow car park exits etc.

Hi Frankie,

How confident were your OPC for a March delivery for a 3.0l S?

My Dad is about to pull the trigger on a 2.0. I’m trying to get him to hold on for a 3.0 but our local OPC said they didn’t have any info on 3.0 delivery dates yet.

Reverse camera is a must in my opinion.

I've been allocated one of the 5 slots allocated to my local dealer. They are pretty confident. However they told me all the slots had gone.

Regarding reversing camera; I've never had one, and never hit anything whilst reversing.... tempting fate now... biggrin

Frank you'll love it, I'm on my second.
Spec looks good, similar to mine. I would go with the reversing camera, has saved me kerbing on numerous occasions. Also check the smoker package, it give you another charging point on the dash.
I have had Alcantara on both and its great and wears really well, storage pack good value to.
However order what YOU want its YOUR car!
Enjoy

Personally, I wouldn't buy a new car without a reversing camera. It's not just to see where you are going, it's also very useful for blind spots as they're wide angle. I can't count the number of times someone has been about to walk past the back of the car, and I wouldn't have seen them without it. It's a safety thing, rather than just a parking aid.

I agree with the others, get the reverse cam. Even if it's for resale potential.

Having said that, the camera on the 'old' Macan has the worst picture quality that I've ever seen on any car, regardless of it's age.

Never been bothered about reversing cameras before but I've got the surround camera system on the Macan and its very good. Great peace of mind for when the other half takes it out. smile

As others have said, spec what you want and congratulations on buying a great car.

have reversing camera on my car, when we ordered the Cayenne decided to try "surround view". Gutted I didn't order that on my car. as others said. reversing camera is minimum, if you can stretch to surround view go for it, very useful option.

On the leather question - I went for partial leather in Agate, very happy with that. I hardly notice the plastic that's left.

Which seats are you going for?

I saw a new Macan on the M25 last night....certainly can’t miss that light bar! Honestly couldn’t decide whether it looks very high tech or a bit naff! The brake lights still illuminate separately.

I've seen two of the new Macans in as many days. One in Crayon and one in Miami. Neither colour suited the car IMO.

My Turbo PP is Sport Classic Grey so quite close to Crayon, gets lots of positive comments but I prefer SC Grey to Crayon...doesn’t have the brown tint you see in some light.

The Crayon looked like a Caramac. Not nice.
